Today's discussion in the definition of beetles inspired.
I want to present the only instance I have in my collection
Buprestis rustica Linnaeus, 1758 from the Moscow region.
The beetle was presented in 1997 by Misha Shestopalov (blessed be his memory).
Therefore, I also bring original labels.

By the way, I want to ask the public opinion.
No one will mind if I" bang "the previously created me this awkward theme: "Zlatki Tropiki" transferring beetles from it here? In my opinion, it's time to figure confused.gifit out .

So, in my opinion, it will be logical. The theme is called "Zlatki", let them all be in one bottle.

OK. Then I'll start a little bit: not everything yet, I'll finish it tomorrow (I need to reshoot the last one and then it will be kerdyk to that topic ) smile.gif .
Three wonderful, colorful species from Southeast Asia (unfortunately, there is a problem with labels herefrown.gif).
1) Catoxantha opulenta opulenta Gory, 1832 Sumatra Island.
2) Chrysochroa raja ssp. assamensis Guérin-Méneville, 1847? Thailand.
3) Chrysochroa buqueti Gory, 1833 Burma.

I also want to introduce this zlatka from Tajikistan for the correction of the definition of which I will be grateful. Original label attached.
Capnodis tenebricosa bucharica Obenberger,1945
Many thanks to Nilson for confirming the definition beer.gif.
Also, special thanks to Dergg for clarifying the subspecies beer.gif.
P.S. The collection has a certain number of such historical and indefinite goldsmiths, so I plan to gradually post them here.

There may be a different subspecies.

There may be a different subspecies.

What subspecies of Capnodis tenebricosa (Olivier, 1790) can be found there (Stalinabad is now Dushanbe) and where can I see them?
I'll write a nominative for now, and if so, you can fix it.

I want to present an even older "rarity" than the previous beetle.
Impaled yet on !THE COPPER ONE! A pin.
Hmm... And someone says about pins with platinum heads wink.gif.
Judging by the extremely uninformative original label, this one is quite large (approx. 3 cm.) Capnodis sp. from Uzbekistan.
Capnodis tenebrionis (Linnaeus, 1758) or not?

I also present the original label.

I don't know either. However, it is generally accepted that several subspecies cannot live on the same territory at the same time. Tajikistan seems to be sufficiently remote from the type habitats of the nominative (Mediterranean, Southern Europe) that the entire territory is inhabited by a local subspecies.

And here I am the other day doubtful in the correctness of Zin's definition: on that Czech site, octodecimguttata is represented in two subspecies. Also presented there is a degener completely different in appearance confused.gif

Acmaeoderini is not a group where you can focus on the drawing. M. G. Volkovich signed the Krasnodar beetles as A. degener, although he said that in this group the Europeans have made some sense and you need to study the genitals. That's why I'm interested smile.gif

Well A. degener from the Czechs here what it looks like (even the pronotum is different) is a big question. And I used to trust the Czechs quite a long time ago. XZ in short confused.gif

I decided to put this zlatka here:
First collected by me
Agrilus (Uragrilus) planipennis Fairmaire, 1888
A large beetle (L=12mm.) and like no one but this species does not work. I will be glad to correct it if it is incorrectly defined.
Caught "in years" 07.06.2012, under poplars, in the center of Zheleznodorozhny, Moscow region.
