Community and ForumInsects imagesLeaf beetles (Chrysomelidae)

vasiliy-feoktistov, 25.09.2009 17:17

I decided to start a gallery on leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae).
I start the topic with a photo of Sagra buqueti Lesson, 1831 "Malay Frog Beetle"
from Java - connect.

Guys, I want to ask you to check this flea for: Podontia quatuordecimpunctata Linnaeus, 1767 - I have a suspicion that this is it, but I'm not sure. confused.gif

Are there any defining tables somewhere on the web? I didn't find it frown.gif
Judging by the photo, it looks similar.

Yes, I searched for it myself, but I didn't find it (there are plenty of images). That's why I doubt it. Can someone define it?

Look at "The Fauna Of British India...". Old stuff, of course, but it seems that there was something on leaf beetles.

I decided to rename the topic from " Exotic Leaf Beetles "to just" Leaf Beetles " since we also have a lot of beetles from this family, and I did not find any topics for them smile.gif.
I want to introduce an interesting beetle from the genus Labidostomis.
It is most likely Labidostomis longimana (Linnaeus, 1761). It's hard with them.......
The most interesting thing is that I have never found this species in my area, but I have found a larger L. tridentata.
The specimen shown in the photo is? L. longimana? It was brought almost from the border of the Moscow and Ryazan regions.
14.06.2012 M. O. Lukhovitsky district, Alpatievo village.
Eh.... it would be better to understand more precisely confused.gif

What's so hard? With fleas, for example, it is much more difficult, but here-I pulled the male, looked at the photos, checked on Benkovsky and you can beer.gif

Yes, apparently a very infrequent animal. I haven't caught any of them yet, although I'm supposed to meet them here.

In the north of Belarus, Cassida atrata is caught - but only in one place and by soil traps, and despite all attempts to mow it down or find it like this-they were not successful, and in traps up to 10 specimens per season.

There are a lot of leaf beetles and it is more logical by subfamily, but...this topic was started in 2009 and has not moved since then, the topic of donatsin is now the same few people will find in the anals, pm is better to let it be all together
