I've already posted such a picture of barbels here. I received a few comments and suggestions, while I was thinking about how to redo it, I was enthusiastic to create tables in general for the entire colepter fauna. A sort of artisanal identification atlas.
In general, I gave up creating entomocollections as soon as I mastered macro photography. Now I collect images.
http://www.colpolon.biol.uni.wroc.pl - I use more than 80% from this resource. I wonder why people have so much patience - they spread their limbs even in submillimeter specimens)). I would have participated in the replenishment of such a database myself
So far, I have made tables on ground beetles - 260 species, based on the work of: A. K. Zherebtsov. Determinant of ground beetles (Coleoptera, Carabidae) of the Republic of Tatarstan. Kazan, 2000.74 p. (in Russian) now I'm looking for regional lists with an indication of the distribution area for water beetles and for staphylinomorphs.
on http://www.zin.ru/animalia/coleoptera/rus/ru_lists.htm of course, there are great databases, but they do not indicate the distribution everywhere (preferably the Hebrew part-east, center, from formations: eastern-southern taiga, forest-steppe, northern steppe along the Volga region - this sample is used for searching and compiling a collection of images)
There are 25 images in A4 format tables, with the body length interval and name indicated under each one (for some, gender and shape). AP's belong to collective projects and photographers. all this will be in a separate list of sources. an alphabetical index of genera is also created along the way, with links to the table number. the collection is being updated
to download, write dimklyo@bk.ru
when printed out, they look pretty good (and the grid of the table is not visible)
