A small subgenus from Central Asia. According to Brzezina - 10 species.
The color is always monochrome-black, more or less shiny. A number of species are typical spring ephemera with a short period of activity. Kryzhanovsky in his monograph noted Cyclocarabus among the Central Asian subgenera as a group that is particularly far advanced in the way of adaptation to xerothermal conditions, both in ecology and morphology.

Male - 21 mm, female-22 mm.
Extremely variable in appearance, sculpture and size.
