Thank you all for the live insect exhibit! Visited, learned everything you need, today I will make Stavropol residents happy! jump.gif
Special thanks to the organizers and participants of the exhibition for demonstrating live butterflies! Here, few people dare to keep them in the insectarium in full (i.e., to support the culture). By the way, th-that I slowed down at the exhibitionshuffle.gif-it was necessary to get acquainted with the butterfly breeders... what if you could help me with my cucullia and other troubles when raising caterpillars? Maybe someone knows their coordinates?

3. in a nutshell-how to find (sorry, we are not local shuffle.gif)
thank you in advance

About exhibitions of macrophotographs of insects at Moscow State University

The following information will be of interest to those who are not only connected with MSU in any way, but also to all macro photography enthusiasts, since one of the exhibitions in question will be open to everyone this weekend.
picture: biblio.jpgWe have already informed you about the exhibition of live insects held at the Department of Entomology of the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University on October 11. After its completion, it was decided to move the photo exhibition of insects of the Macro Club to the reading rooms of the biofac library, where it will be displayed until December 11. We are grateful to the library staff and personally to the chief bibliographer L. L. Danilkina for providing space for the materials of the photo exhibition.
The second exhibition "Planet Entomos" will be held as part of the Science Festival organized by Moscow State University from October 27 to 29. In the building of the Intellectual Center of the Fundamental Library, new works by members of the Macro Club and employees of the Entomology Department of the MSU Biofac will be presented.
The exhibition "Planet Entomos" in the Intellectual Center will be open for free access on 28. X from 11 to 19 hours and 29. X from 11 to 15 hours.

Tell me, is there an exhibition of insects planned for this year?

09.10.2007 20:41, Насекомовед

Just this week the issue is being resolved. I think so soon (deadline next Monday) I will post a special message about this. Definitely the exhibition will be held next week, but the date is not clear.

10.10.2007 18:28, Mikhail F. Bagaturov

Will Generalov's genius be used this year?
And then something last year in the photo it did not come across... smile.gif

10.10.2007 20:07, Насекомовед

I can't answer, because I don't deal with the issue of inviting participants to the Exhibition of live Insects at the biofactory.

I am responsible for a photo exhibition at the Second Science Festival in the new building of the Moscow State University Library from October 19 to 21. There I also invited P. Udovichenko (on the recommendation of A. Sochivko) with an exhibition of dry insects. Admission is free for everyone, but only on October 20 and 21.

PS Due to these events, log updates are temporarily unavailable frown.gif

Thanks!
And the question is almost on the topic.
Either at the weekend, or at the very beginning of the week. weeks in Moscow, either at the zoo under his auspices, or under the auspices of YERAZA, but at the Zoo or somewhere else (?) there will be a seminar-conference on insects (as I understand it, in terms of their maintenance, breeding, etc.).
Does anyone have any information?

Absolutely true, the Third International seminar "Invertebrates in Zoo Collections"will be held at the Moscow Zoo, organized by the Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA) from October 22 to 26. The seminar will discuss topical issues related to the formation and development of collections of terrestrial and freshwater invertebrates in zoos and insectariums, the maintenance and breeding of invertebrates in laboratory conditions, disease prevention, the creation of educational exhibitions of invertebrates, as well as the conservation of rare and endangered invertebrate species.

This is all the information I have smile.gif
