And these are related phenomena-global warming, and then the ocean level rises.

Oh, shit - I thought 7 years, and there are seven thousand! Hence the question... Ugh! That is, during this time, there have been climate jumps that are cleaner than the current one?

04.09.2006 7:01, Juglans

Of course! Moreover, over 300-400 years, the sea level has increased by one meter (!)

And so far?! Maybe Urri is right to go diving, he's also in Holland...

No, there are no hints of sea level rise yet.

Dear colleagues!
In recent years, climate change (global warming) has been very actively discussed.
In this regard, I have a few questions:
1. In your opinion, is there a trend towards climate change (or is it a short-term up to 10-year spike)?
2. What is the reason for this: anthropogenic impact, land molecules, or other factors.
3. Do you notice a shift in insect habitats to the north?

From myself, a small observation: Helix Pomatia (grape snail), which in all reference books was described as a resident of the southern regions, feels very good in the Moscow Region, moreover, it was caught in Vologda.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

On the example of my group (abscess beetles), I can definitely say-yes, some species of prut to the north. And at a fairly strong pace. Thus, in 1953, the species Mylabris shrenki was specified only for southern and southeastern Kazakhstan (approximately along the Syrdarya - Chu-Ilitsky Mountains - Southern Balkhash region). A couple of years ago, it was found already in Atyrau (Northern Caspian region) - and the fees are not isolated, as I thought at first - there it is already massive among abscesses. And for other groups...
I have a publication about finding a ground beetle Nebriz livida in the middle reaches of the Ili River, it ran 600-700 km south of the usual (and I collected a series of 12 ex) - so there is no need to talk about a hurricane. Well, except for a unique disjunction-nebriyas are very immoral species, and there is a desert...

so almost all of this was discussed above (earlier)...

The trend is not obvious only to those who consciously do not want to see it. It is shown that without taking into account anthropogenic factors. it is impossible to describe reliably what is happening now (i.e., there are natural causes, of course, but also anthropogenic. the contribution is substantial). Ranges are shifting in many species (not always by hundreds of kilometers); there may be many reasons, but warming is one of the first.

Lassiommata megera-first met in Moldova this year - in the very south!
Hipparchia fagi-we found it only last year (I was told that it should ride in the mountains, in the woods, but we don't have mountains, and they were found in low areas).

Wait! But the shift to the south is not due to warming...
