The Russian scientific journal recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) for publishing materials for the defense of scientific theses, published an article written by a computer program and containing meaningless text, the newspaper of scientists and scientific journalists "Troitsky Variant"said.
The "experimenters" took a text written in English using a computer program-a pseudoscientific text generator, invented at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After translation, the article was sent to one of the Russian scientific journals - the Kursk Journal of Scientific Publications of Graduate students and Doctoral students.
After some literary edits, the journal published an article by a non-existent scientist Mikhail Zhukov entitled
"Grubber: an algorithm for typical unification of access points and redundancy".

Good idea with the test. Now, damn it, you can't put the word "grubber" in any article.
And yet, it's a pity that Zhukov Mikhail Sergeevich is actually a fictional type. For such an article citation index, the author would have received a lot of money at our institute smile.gif

The text of the article itself.

Something too cleverly written for a word generator.

No, it's fine. At the same time, a lesson for us: after all, these are examples of "water" that can be avoided in these articles.

Normally written. It indicates that the article was generated in English. Then it was translated into Russian. It must have been tweaked to comply with the rules of the Russian language and be melodious. This does not detract from the value of the experiment.
