Colleagues, can anyone advise you?
This weekend I started working on the manuscript, after the reviewer's edits.
The reviewer suggested replacing my text: "...the apex of the abdomen of specimens was removed and treated with ~ 10% KOH " with "...the apex of the abdomen of specimens was removed and treated with ~ 10% KOH". In other words, put the abbreviation "ca."instead of the tilde.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the meaning of " ca." If it is from Lat. circa (roughly), then it should be "cca."? Is this not a typo? I didn't find an answer in home directories or dictionaries.
I would be grateful for your advice.
