In early May, I will spend 3-4 days in Astrakhan. Knowledgeable people, please advise interesting places where you can effectively catch beetles, straight-winged insects and bedbugs. We are interested in steppe biotopes, sands, cretaceous rocks, floodplains, and other "Caspian exotics". The nearest neighborhoods of the city are desirable, but bus trips with "wild" overnight stays are also acceptable. I would appreciate more detailed information (especially about the availability of transport routes, prices, and frequency). Photos are welcome.
It would be good to collect beetles not only from flowering plants (in the first decade of May is this real?!), but also from animal guan, animal remains.
I will be grateful for references on this topic, I haven't found anything useful yet: everything about fishing and fishing...
And yet, as far as I understand, the idea of penetrating to the Caspian coast can be buried?! For 3 days, this is impractical and expensive. Is it better to look at the Caspian Sea from Dagestan?!
