Oh, no one defines a photo with scoops. It seems that Barko also appeared...

Still got a little khokhlatok and one scoop.

A lot of Dybovsky females got into the soil traps.

Cool, probably, Dybovsky if he has so many females. Won't it be greasy? smile.gif

I don't see "Yankovsky", although the light butterfly in this photo among the "gashkevichs" is strange, is this a color variation ? The photo is not clear: -)

31.08.2010 15:39, Sergey Didenko

The pictures are terrible, I shot them in a hurry at night with poor lighting. It seems to me that this is a color variation. And what is the most distinctive feature of Yankovsky?

31.08.2010 16:09, Grigory Grigoryev

Well, it's smaller than Maak, closest in color to him, but there's no yellow on the hind wings - they're brown. And the front fenders are rather without lettuce, more brownish: -)

Sergey, can you find a couple of extra S. moltrechti (two extreme on the right)?

13.09.2010 5:31, Sergey Didenko

Oleg, you will laugh, but I have only two of them that you see in the photo. I can present you one. You will be in Moscow, otherwise you really don't want to bother with forwarding...

Sergey thank you for S. moltrechti !!!

I want to ask you, how many pieces of Arytrura musculus do you have? I would also like to get a couple or more (if there is of course).

Depressing volumes of "zakos"...

I wonder what we've done? In my opinion, everything is very poor and modest.

05.10.2010 19:42, Pavel Morozov

aha, poornenko.
eltset, volnyanochki picolnye, katokaly moltrekhti, kochubei, kallipogony. Who else is there?

06.10.2010 6:40, Sergey Didenko

Poor thing - it means that they grabbed a big guy, but I didn't get enough change (there's a scoop there, pyadenits...)

06.10.2010 6:49, Sergey Didenko

Depressing volumes of "zakos"...

If all the material quickly found its use, then it was clearly not enough.
And zakos, there is a good example told by our host in Anisimovka. Some entomologists lived with him, I think they were Fins, I don't remember exactly. So they killed everything on the screen with dichlorvos every 5-15 minutes and swept it away with a broom - it was not convenient for them to select the right butterflies with a large crowd of animals. More buckets of destroyed insects per night. Sergey (the owner of the base) then kicked them out and no longer lets fins in.

I straightened out all the catocals I had. There are doubtful a couple similar to proxeneta, but still different. The rest do not seem to raise doubts about the definition. Here is the list according to the photo of the box of catocals caught in Primorye (from top to bottom, from left to right):
1. Catocala doerriesi (3 pcs)
2. Catocala separans (1)
3. Catocala proxeneta (4)
4. Catocala moltrechti (3)
5. Catocala streckeri (10)
6. Catocala deuteronympha (3)
7. Catocala bella (2)
8. Catocala agitatrix (3)
9. Catocala nymphaeoides (4)
10. Catocala musmi (1)
11. Catocala kotschubeji (Sheljuzhko, 1925) (1)
12. Catocala dissimilis (5)
13. Catocala bokhaica (Kononenko, 1979) (1)
14. Catocala eminens (3)
15. Catocala_fulminea (6)
16. Catocala lara (2)
17. Catocala electa (1)
18. Catocala nupta (2)
19. Catocala dula (6)

I attach a photo of two doubtful ones separately.

What is it, so far from the Moscow region, and the cuckoos are the same, even if they have some subspecies, visually I don't see any differences...

In this case, everything is simple. Lucifuga and artemisiae have no subspecies smile.gif

It remains about 40 percent (800 pieces) to spread out from caught in Primorye. I'll start posting pictures of everything caught soon.

Not exactly a report, but still. Two weeks ago, Grisha (Kayark) was on a business trip to Moscow. He met a lot of people, including me and Michael (Mickey). He prepared gifts for us (many thanks!), my share has already dried up, and I'm putting it out. All from Primorye, mostly in autumn or spring.
