Please tell me!!in the apartment in underwear and clothes, even on the wallpaper and in the sofa, under the skirting board, some kind of lumps of wool or pieces of thread in 2 mm, when crushed, leave dark brown traces!and also there are just dry, cat.when crushed, they simply crumble like dried grass. There are no bites, only the body and head itch mostly at night! And when I undress, these black pieces fall from my clothes.and when my head is left on the bathroom!!somewhere I read that it can be such insects as a cat.their eggs are rolled up in wool ,and dry ones are already hatched, but they are not visible anywhere at all.only these black ones are just like garbage cans.but they're everywhere!they did disinfection with ozone guns, quartz treatment.dichlorvos constantly.in sanstantsiyu twice carried, at first said - it's just garbage, then found a bug with three(!!!)wings, but they don't know who it is, they said live with it!!!already the sofa alone was thrown out and a lot of clothes were burned.tell me what it can be and how to deal with it?!!

I need a photo...

08.03.2014 1:12, m333

Good afternoon. Can you tell me who it is? Small beetles, less than a millimeter long, brown, translucent with antennae. Brought in with the Christmas tree. I don't know how to get rid of it! They seem to live in laminate flooring.

Don't look at the first photo, I accidentally attached it.

08.03.2014 11:06, AGG

the second one is also not very informative, but I will assume that these are ticks. not the fact that you dragged them with a Christmas tree. don't pigeons live nearby? try any insecticides - it should help

08.03.2014 11:15, Dima DD

M-yes... To be honest, in these photos it is even difficult to say with certainty whether there is someone at all, or all these grains are just garbage. If you can't take a picture normally, then it remains to collect a couple of "bugs" in a bubble and take them to the SES or other specialists. They will also advise you on what to do.

08.03.2014 16:06, Svt

Good afternoon! These beetles appeared a week ago and their numbers are increasing. Private house in the Moscow region. Who are they and how to deal with them? The abdomen is thick, round, and the head is small with a proboscis. They can't fly. They sit on the walls. They don't move readily, but they do move fast enough. Size about 8mm

some kind of nonsense is a eek.gifweevil from the subfamily Entiminae (Liophloeus or Otiorhynchus) and there is nothing to do at home. you might as well have started a penguin invasion

Or maybe they are derived from indoor flowers - I had a case-Otiorhynchus sulcatus was caught in the winter in the house-hatched from a pot of azaleas. But isn't this weevil O. sulcatus?!

According to photos on the Internet, they look like pear weevils. My husband and I have a hunch that they are made from indoor lemon (!) from the Nederlands, bought this winter. Or somehow got out of the ground (the pool room). I don't think they could have come from the street in the snow. I washed everything with domestos yesterday. You can't see them today. I hope that the problem is solved.

IMG_0288.JPG
They appear regardless of the time of day, mostly on the floor (both in the kitchen and in the rooms), usually one at a time, but they can appear several times a day. The length is about 5-7 mm.
I really hope for your help!

Thank you so much for your quick response, Djon! But he (the answer), to be honest, threw me into horror! After following your link, I read the following: "They develop on the corpses of vertebrates, less often on invertebrates." We don't have any corpses in our apartment!!! Where can these leatherworms come from?
Please help me and tell me how to deal with them!
We have a small child!!! I REALLY ASK FOR YOUR HELP!!!

10.03.2014 20:37, AGG

Don't be horrified. these beetles are ABSOLUTELY harmless to humans and will not harm the child in any way. if it (the beetle) did not come to you from the street in the fall for the winter, then it could develop at your home on dried fish, stuffed animals, furs, etc
. and in general, what kind of panic? do you have a surgical department there? in order for the child to have (formed) immunity, he must lick all the poop in the sandbox, otherwise he will sneeze at the sight of an open window

This post was edited by AGG-10.03.2014 20: 46

10.03.2014 20:46, Бабушка

The fact that they are absolutely harmless to humans is reassuring, but just a little bit.
The fact is that there are no dried fish, stuffed animals and furs in the house)) And there are beetles... I really want to get rid of them! Is there really no means by which they can be exterminated?

10.03.2014 20:49, Vorona

There are funds, of course, but a live harmless beetle is somehow more useful for a child than those funds.

I'm not an expert on these beetles, but they can really develop, in everything that has an animal origin, their larvae can probably develop even on the boiled wool of domestic animals under baseboards. we need to find what they are developing on, and eliminate their food supply. poisoning is probably useless, because there are larvae and eggs somewhere. But maybe they come to you from outside, are there pigeons or other animals nearby?

the surest remedy, and most importantly safe for your health!!! - sneaker! trust me as a dezstant worker and entomologist with a lot of experience. if you are not ready to put up with the "neighbors", then call the substation or SES and let them fill the whole house with cypertrin/fufanon, etc. birds, fish, flowers will die in your house..... at least a day in this room you can not go, and the residual effect is about 1.5-2 months - with this, you and your child will breathe (for money), and the beetles will go outside in a week on their bug affairs

10.03.2014 21:05, Бабушка

There are no pets in the house. The only thing that I can assume is the second floor, and the windows are located almost above the entrance canopy, where pigeons constantly live (((

The fact is that after moving into this apartment and finding cockroaches and these beetles in it (not knowing who they are), we already called specialists from the SES, and twice, because after the first time, after 3 months, cockroaches again began to come in, apparently from neighbors, the beetles practically disappeared. You're right, they "stole" everything they could. However, the first drug did not smell, and the second time the smell was (the child was taken away for several days). Now, after about 3 months, the beetles "returned" ((( So we think that there is no point in calling anymore, but we don't know how to fight ourselves (((

10.03.2014 21:46, AGG

in such cases, it is necessary to fight with the neighbors wink.gifuntil they have "srach" you will have cockroaches and not only frown.gifsealing of panel joints (walls, ceiling, risers, skirting boards), fine mesh (a la mill gas/arganza) on ventilation

Dear forumchane, please help me determine who it is and how to deal with them?

In the picture, it is the ham leatherworm - Dermestes lardarius. They can develop just in the attics where pigeons nest, and it is full of what their larvae feed on.: from chick corpses to animal waste. And from the attic, they can get into your apartment, including through ventilation ducts.

11.03.2014 11:24, m333

Exactly with the Christmas tree, it just fell off. The floor was black. There were also much larger ones. Up to cm. They were immediately removed. But these were not immediately noticed. We have a cork backing. It feels like they live in laminate flooring. I'll try to take more pictures, but I doubt it. Sooo small. I have excellent eyesight, but even I can't see clearly!

11.03.2014 11:26, m333

They don't seem to bite us. Just unpleasant neighborhood. We live in a new building, just moved in and here!

19.03.2014 20:54, Alexandr Zhakov

This is the larva of a skin-eating beetle.
A simple solution, crush with a slipper. more difficult, feed the beetle and then crush it with a slipper.
There is no danger to people. the larva feeds on materials of animal origin: hair, feathers, skin, etc.

Hello, please help me identify a couple of animals caught in a Moscow apartment. I apologize in advance for the mediocre photos.
P.S.
How reasonable is it to release them into the wild, in the nearest forest park?

eek.gif Is it Periplaneta australasiae? eek.gif

20.03.2014 20:58, Aleksandr Ermakov

Escaped from someone's terrarium

21.03.2014 0:38, Hierophis

Uh, why right out of the terrarium? In general, the periplanets in Moscow seem to have been living on free grazing for a long time, where they are just not found.
Here, with a simple search, entire articles are given out )))

According to the color of the pronotum, it is most likely P. australasiae. On the other hand, coloration is not the most reliable sign.

The find is very interesting, because P. australasiae is a rare animal even in our cultures, although it is a cosmopolitan synanthrope.

I caught an American cockroach myself in Yekaterinburg, but an Australian cockroach...
An interesting case.

Yes, indeed, does not look like an American!
In general, I call all these exotic Sikh cockroaches at best by their generic name, because it is not known what it is, they sell it under some name and what it really is..

But we can definitely say one thing-now I agree that something is not clean here))))
Utyatka, I recommend sticking an ad in the entrance at the exit, only you don't need to write about cockroaches, otherwise the inhabitants will have enough of a blow, just write something like "Please keep your periplanets locked" smile.gif
In general, I did not advise anyone and I do not advise keeping them for food, they really take root in houses, unlike the same marbles or shelfordell, we have a continuous population of periplanets in the zoo and surrounding houses!

22.03.2014 8:34, Utyatka

Clearly! Thank you all so much for your help. smile.gif
We had another version, the accidental migration of larvae in bags from Cuba.

And yet, what do you recommend to do with those already caught?
