This is the Surinamese flour eater, the only harm is damage to the products in which it develops (flour, cereals, dried fruits, etc.). Did you happen to bring any dried fruit with you???

29.01.2014 10:41, Sergeevna773

Thank you so much. And I already bought 10 bottles of dichlorvos, prepared for defense.
No, there were no dried fruits, only green tea, which is sold by weight, packed in a bag-clamped with wire, one of them had a very strong fruit smell. I checked all the teas there is nothing inside.

Hello, my uncle filled the whole room with all sorts of junk, did not keep everything clean, now they dismantled his closet, and inside they found in two places a cluster of strange pupae or whatever it is, unfortunately they have already thrown it out but everything looks like this-in detail: in one place about 8 of these pupae lay firmly attached to each other each other looked like a piece of dirt, all the same size - about 2-3 cm in length, at the edges in a radius of up to 2 cm, in the center up to 1 cm, when they tried to break them, it turned out that this pupa is only a couple of mm thick, inside a thin layer like resin or caramel, very sticky, easy to break, thin sovskem-less than mm, and inside a couple of them found larvae-typical larvae, I can't even say anything except that they are white, up to 1.5 cm in length and up to 0.5 cm in width, both larvae did not move when the pupae were broken, tell me, ATO I have a small panic)))
oh, yes, I forgot to say that these pupae are mud, very hard, just like hardened mud...

A month of chasing around the apartment with a camera was not in vain, here they are my "dear" parasites. In length about 2-3 mm, the "head" is bent up 90 degrees, and it is twisted on the sides, straining their speed of "settling" on the veins.square. Here they are, my parasites. The lower part is slightly flattened from mechanical impact.frown.gif

A skin-eating beetle. Give a better photo to determine the view. Or describe it in detail: the color of the legs, eyes, mustache, and pattern...

31.01.2014 19:39, Aleksandr Ermakov

And it seems to me that this is a flat-footed Surinamese flour eater (Oryzaephilus surinamensis L.). Look for contaminated flour and cereals.

There is a long chest with "teeth" on the side... You need a good photo! Or a description...

Unfortunately - almost for nothing, because almost no photos, alas... frown.gif In this scenario, try at least scanning on a high-resolution flatbed scanner: the images may be an order of magnitude better than these and you will be able to make out at least something.

In your photos, despite their "no" quality, there are clearly some beetles. It may very well be Oryzaephilus surinamensis. Look - https://www.google.ru/search?q=oryzaephilus...iw=1680&bih=854 "doesn't look like it?"

People!
Please help me determine what kind of small insects have settled in my toilet and bathroom?!
Very small, at first they were less than a millimeter, after a few months (if not a year already) they grew a little, now they are slightly more than a millimeter.
Run on walls, do not fly, do not jump (at least I have not seen this)

Beetles with gray-brown elytra and yellow backs and heads with dark stripes are leaf beetles Pyrrhalta viburni, live on viburnum. A smaller number of black and red ones are some kind of bedbugs, also "street", I won't say the name right away. It is possible that Arocatus melanocephalus belongs to the family Lygaeidae.

In general, they do not live in houses, they will not spoil anything, the phenomenon is temporary (they suddenly flew out due to warm weather). Collect and discard - this is the maximum that you can do if you are too annoying.

No, these are not viburnum leaf beetles ( these overwinter at the egg stage), but most often willow or elm "boogers" - Galerucella lineola or G. luteola

Guys, please help! Today in the apartment I found a beetle, round, 2-3 mm, crawling on the wall. The color is as follows: a matte black back with white round spots on the edges. I didn't think to take a picture, and smeared porridge on a sneaker won't help anyone( Google doesn't help: I can't find similar ones. Can you tell me some variants of the name of this creature, eh?

In the first room in which they appeared, the window opens directly onto the trees of the elm tree, which is located in the immediate vicinity. SOOOOO annoying, sit at the computer and they crawl on you. When you crush (I don't know red, or....) then they smell terrible. I used to notice 1-2 times a month, but at some point it was like an invasion.
P. S Thank you for your answers !!!!!

Don't panic! The bug is no longer dangerous.

And where exactly does this happen? (city)

What if his brethren are hiding somewhere nearby? Until I find out the type of insect, what it eats and where it hides, I will panic(

And in order to explain to you whether it is dangerous or not, you need a normal photo of the culprit, and you can't recognize it with a sneaker first smile.gifWithout a photo. A person has a lot of "neighbors" and it is difficult to tell the view without a photo of the culprit of the panic. Search for your brothers wink.gif

After your sneaker and only with your meager words, almost nothing intelligible can be said - you must understand this. Another time, do not rush to grab a sneaker - a creature about 2 mm tall will not eat you? lol.gif
If you ignore the fact that "spots on the edges are round", look at the photo here at this link: https://www.google.ru/search?q=%D1%84%D0%BE...iw=1680&bih=854
All objects, of course, are greatly enlarged: the actual size of the beetles just fits into the ones you gave.

Hello, we are furnishing the apartment after renovation, recently we found small (2-3mm), black beetles, we suspect that they appeared after buying a bed, because there are most of them in this room, and there is only one bed in the room(one managed to take a picture). Help us determine who they are and how to get rid of them.

This is a barn weevil-it develops in grain, it has nothing to do with buying a bed (unless of course there are some old stocks in it...)

who is it?
about 5mm

What's it? I found it at my home today (I live in Portugal).
Is this spider poisonous?
I don't suffer from arachnophobia, but it was quite unpleasant to find IT in my room.
The contraption is quite large, almost the size of a matchbox.

This is a forum for insect - loving entomologists. Spiders are not one of them. But maybe one of our "encyclopedists" will determine.

28.02.2014 21:40, Wild Yuri

I will add: there is a separate topic for determining arachnids. I just saw it. Author - earlier. smile.gif
