I don't know people, but my appetite is brutal) I ate a butterfly larger than my own size and several mosquitoes during the day) but I've already released it, let it fly) and then in a small box it is not very interesting, and there is no place to transplant

The moment, you still have the keys to run it. There is another thing from the same genus, I think, a swallow bug, it lives in the nests of birds, in dovecotes as well. Maybe he is?

I started noticing it on the monitor, on the keyboard, and so on! They are very small and there are many of them!
Help us recognize what it is and how to deal with it!

Hi! We work for a city publication and would like to ask for help: would any of the experts agree to tell us why there is such an invasion of white moths (are they scoops?)in Moscow right now? Well, for dessert - whether to wait for fly flies, and whether there is still some unusual activity of insects in the city this summer. I would be very grateful if someone can help and leave their contact for communication. Thank you. Katya

For the second year in a row in Moscow and the region, Leucoma salicis in wild quantities: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=530236
Yesterday at work I observed an interesting picture: in the morning on the wall, on the AWL lamp sat about a dozen willow volnyanok, and when the sun warmed up well, they all fell from this wall to the asphalt "up with their paws": kerdyk came to them very quickly. I think the established abnormal heat will very quickly put an end to this "invasion" smile.gif

I don't know where they came from....Maybe from the street? I live on the fifth floor. A poplar tree grows opposite the window. Very similar to some ticks... Doesn't anyone know ? help !

Yes, these are definitely ticks. But more specifically, what and where - God knows. The forum is an entomological one, and ticks are not insects, and there are practically no specialists here on them. And the photo is not very informative. Perhaps they are from the attic, where there may be nests of birds (pigeons).

Similar to Gamas Mesostigmata Gamasina. The colleague above is correct about pigeons. They are characterized by phoresia and not only on the spine

Good people, please tell me what kind of creatures got in our bathroom and in the kitchen near the water. They love moisture, are afraid of light. Very small ones. They look like a black dot. They live in cracks and crevices in the plaster, where it is damp. Please, who has encountered them, who are they and how to destroy them? These are leg-tails. To get rid of it, you need to lower the humidity in the room as much as possible, prevent taps and pipes from digging up, "sweating", accumulating dampness on the floor, in corners, and so on.

In short, eliminate the paths and the source of their entry into the apartment. Also, read: http://pestkiller.ru/kleschi_gamazovye

A month later, I managed to get a sample of the maddening insect.
It bites painfully, a red dot, then something happens in the skin, then a ball incomprehensible as fat, and then as a combed place. B is repeated in a circle. Only now, in the heat, it has fully grown.

thank you very much!!! jump.gif Those are the ones...With a decrease in humidity-it is clear, but maybe there is still some auxiliary tool...or what else can I try? Yes...at home, the pipes were leaking for quite a long time, and now we are suffering. For a month now, all the plumbing and pipes have been changed, but they do not disappear wall.gif

In my opinion, the photo shows a gallica (Cecidomyiidae). If so, someone else is biting.

09.06.2014 16:10, KoV

I can then upload an archive with photos and videos - I think it will become clearer what is happening.
+ recently used the tool - so it feels like all the muck from all the cracks poperla.
At home with a private bathroom with a basement, and if parents come to visit, then where they even passed, something throws itself on their feet, and you can feel pricks even through socks ( but if they are tight, then everything is fine).
If they put food on the table= - then approaching the table I feel that something is thrown at the beard or hair. You have to apply a little essential oil - and it feels like a party is being filled and something starts biting.
If you walk and do not sweat-everything is fine, but if you sweat-it feels like the skin comes to life. It also tickles in the ears at night, and recently the beginning of black sulfur will stand out, and if you wash too much, then a sandy - clay liquid begins to flow and it smells very unpleasant. if you do not wash with tar shampoo, but for example Yves Rocher ( I like Brazilian coffee)- then there is a feeling that something is there and then red pimples appear that itch ( previously 3 months ago this was not the case, but I also worked in another team).
Also, if it's raining outside - I heat the air in the kitchen and dry things - so if you go in - it feels like a thousand needles with hooks are stuck in some places ( especially on the chest) and they start pulling out and moving their tips back on the skin ( After the Spray, this feeling disappears), but it's worth contacting with maybe in less than a week, it's all over again.
I also sat down on my brother's bed - and touched his bed with my bare elbows - and then half an hour later I realized that I was scratching my elbows, did not pay attention and went to bed. And in the morning I got a very big surprise:

user posted image
Momat was prescribed, then beloderm - it didn't really help, and when I secretly smeared Fenistil gel on this place, everything went away in just an hour or two.

Just the other day there was a wetness, and in the morning in the toilet I felt a small cut in the canal, peeing for a day without paying attention - the next day the cut was gone.

Be patient: the animals do not pose any danger to you. If the pipes stop leaking and sweating, and excessive humidity is overcome, the legwings will disappear - the dryness drives them-destroys them. But I do not advise using any "chemistry": first of all, you poison yourself.

Hmm ... judging by this description and photo, there is a very high probability that no one really bites at all. This is my personal opinion, but I'm not a doctor and I might be wrong.

who is it? how did it end up in my apartment if I have mosquito nets on my windows?

This is a beetle from the family of black-bodied beetles (Tenebrionidae) - a large flour crustacean (Tenebrio molitor). There were two ways to get into the apartment:
1) the first one is less likely: you or your neighbors have deposits of rancid stale flour, cereals, etc., where larvae of these beetles can develop.
2) Flew in from the street or attic - the most likely option: mosquito nets are not a hindrance - it could get into the apartment through the ventilation ducts, or, in the end, just be listed on clothes or a bag. These beetles often live in attics, where there are pigeon nests (and, consequently, food for them in the form of all sorts of waste pigeons).
For humans, this beetle itself is absolutely not dangerous. And contrary to your statement (fear has big eyes), he could not bite you (they do not bite) - just felt the claws of his hard paws on the skin - and in a panic.
In short, calm down, there is absolutely no reason to worry.

Well, in general, there was an opportunity - a reaction went to the eucalyptus-a disco started in the beard and hair)))
Narwhal in a polyushka of wormwood, laid out all over the house ( basement, living room and attic) - and oh hooray, I slept at least normally )))
Hike fleas prut from somewhere...
I bought what I needed - and I will process everything tomorrow in full.

Hello!
Yesterday I found very small, less than a millimeter, creatures running briskly on the hand. Brownish, crawling fast, seems to like to gather on white and glossy surfaces, always crawling somewhere up. They don't bite.
If you push large ones, they die with a noticeable crunch.
Today, I found just a bunch of them - gathered in the corners of folders, on the corners of paper, on boxes of disks and the worst thing is that they occupied the sewing machine. I tried to conduct a test with a white one - I put a white purple mouse as a bait - they ran up very quickly.

I dragged a lot of things out on the street, shook them up, will it help? I've never seen such beetles before.

can these creatures get out of the birch bark? I just had two pieces of birch bark in my room right under the affected area...

and how harmful are these animals?

Guys please help me recognize the insect. It seems that he lives in an apartment, I often find them on the wallpaper, then just on the floor. Getting from outside is practically excluded, because the windows do not open - there is supply ventilation. Likes to play dead. The size is about 3-4 mm.

A beetle in the Dermestidae family of the genus Attagenus. As for the species, I can assume that A. smirnovi. It gets to you, of course, not from outside - it reproduces in the apartment: its larvae live in places where dust accumulates (for example, behind baseboards, etc.) and feed on organic waste, which in the dust, taking into account their size, is quite abundant for them.

Hello! Does anyone know the size of a butterfly larva?
The fact is that they periodically appear on the bathroom sink (the butterflies themselves, not the larvae). In any case, the photos are very similar.
So, today, a flat white "worm" was found near the soap dish, with a black head (and the tail is also similar, only smaller), and therefore the question arose whether this worm could not be the larva of a butterfly. Its size is about 1 cm (in appearance). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to take a photo.
The apartment is on the first floor, so there is no escape from the dampness...

Hello!
I also have a question for experts mol.gif
What kind of animal is this? In length-5-8 mm. Shows an increased interest in heat - has been repeatedly seen on my children (never on adults) under their clothes. They never complained about being bitten. It is difficult to nail with a sneaker, because the shape of the body is already flattened. On the back, something similar to wings is noticeable, either small or atrophied. Periodically performs washing movements with its front paws, also like a fly. It is not mobile, although it can crawl quite quickly. If it helps – we live in the Poltava region.
