How to keep ground beetles at home?

Community and ForumInsects breedingHow to keep ground beetles at home?

Winter came, it became boring and the idea came up to go to the forest, pick up ground beetles under the logs and keep them at home. Please tell me how to do this correctly. I mean humidity, temperature, food, bedding, shelter and all that… This question applies not only to the content of adults, but also larvae, too. I have a little experience keeping insects, but only as a food base for reptiles.. I really appreciate your advice in advance!

Actually, ground beetles sleep in winter.
I have some experience with winter maintenance:
If kept at a temperature of up to +5 ,then this is a state of numbness.
Sometimes I put it in a warm room for a couple of days .Ground beetles came to life and ran ,I fed them pieces of chicken and fish.
Over the winter, you get so used to them that then it's a pity to starve. It was necessary to release in the spring to the wild.

Ground beetles should not be disturbed in winter..they also need a period of rest.
In general, it is not difficult to maintain...some of them are not difficult to breed...
Oleg Berlov is a master of this business... somewhere here I gave links to his web pages (with techniques)... break-in to rummage and search... somewhere on <url>... try using the search engine...
