Determine the type of creature

Community and ForumHow to get rid of insectsDetermine the type of creature

I live on the 14th floor (40 meters from the ground) for 5 years. It was this summer that I began to notice the active appearance of this species, before that it may have been, but I did not look closely. Can someone determine the type of creature with confidence, so that they can continue to look for solutions to eliminate them?

Why did they bother you?

in their apartment

Well? Bedbugs are clearly not residential, they climb or fly in from the outside. To determine the species, use the corresponding topic in the section "Classification of insects". However, in your case, this is unlikely to be of practical use. Put nets on the windows, caulk the cracks. The problem is purely psychological, these are not the same bedbugs that feed on human blood.

Thank you, I found it. This is Metochus abbreviatus.
I can ask what they are dangerous in the apartment and why 5 years they were not and this summer, or rather a week ago they appeared? How to lure them out of the apartment (I tried to turn off the light in the apartment and opened the door to the entrance where the light bulb is on - it didn't help, although they flew into the apartment presumably for the light.

They'll die themselves after a while, or they'll find a window.
There is such a thing as the mating season, and maybe even a small invasion.
We also have a lot of bedbugs in Moscow now, only others. Grid saves.

Well, you gave -- Metochus abbreviatus!!! This is the pinworm Brachycarenus tigrinus, which develops on grasses.

Yes, he is the one. I live in Almaty (Kazakhstan) and this is the city center. Only here it seems to be called a mundungus.
