Hello! On the street -20, a butterfly woke up in the apartment. Google says it's a turnip. Fed syrup from cotton wool (I managed to eat it), put it in a jar, putting water there, leaving the syrup and mashed banana. All on the advice of the Internet.

But this is a wintering species, and in general, she obviously woke up and flew out from somewhere – maybe it's better not to touch her, she will find a place for herself and fall asleep? What if he doesn't fall asleep, doesn't find food, or accidentally crushes something in the apartment?
Please tell me what is the best course of action? It's great if someone knows in a non-profane way, and then on the Internet, I feel that recommendations grow partly out of the desire to have a beautiful pet.
It is written that they live for about 3 weeks, I'm afraid to destroy them earlier.

P.S. If it is still a bank, then put it on the light or not?

Yes, here you do not need to be either a special expert or a layman. The turnip can only be hatched from the pupa when it is warm: it does not overwinter in the adult state, like peacock's eye or urticaria. It would have been easier with them: put them in a dark storeroom and they would have lived until spring, being in diapause. You've fed her, but what's next? If you really have a whitefly, it will not live long, especially in a jar: it needs to fly for life, and it needs greens, preferably cruciferous.

How long can a belyanka live in ideal conditions? Judging by the articles and videos on YouTube, no one really advanced in this.

My opinion is that animals do not belong in the house, especially such as cats. They scold and scold everywhere, tear everything with their claws (including the owner), turn it over - not life, but some kind of masochism. Maybe build an aviary and lock it up...

Daytime butterflies, too, need a hefty insectarium, or better yet, a whole room. But at least they won't spoil your stuff, unlike the beasts. But bigger cockroaches are the perfect pets.

Even as they poop! A friend told me that Morpho peleides and Kaligo were taken out and released to fly in the room. They gave him wallpaper... Small butterflies, such as hives, should not poop much, but some kind of nettle will appear on the wallpaper!

And the cat just-home place, in the city. Almost everyone goes to the box. Only a few people shit and behave affectionately (most of them). Here on the estate - God forbid to have a cat! It eats birds, butterflies, lizards and snakes even... Total exterminator of everything. I don't have a cat, but the neighbors come (they have three!), and they clean out all the animals from my forest plot. I hated cats, even though I used to love them...

I have no experience with morpho, but our domestic butterflies poop very, very modestly. About krapa: I have wallpaper with a complex pattern, there is enough of any kind of krapa - the poop of insects is invisible. But a cat would definitely skin them. And it's better to be regularly shat by butterflies all year round than to get a cat surprise in your shoe just once!
