Well, as it was discussed before, there is some draught of what mapping functions we could have:



Question to all those interested in: is there anything needed besides? Generally also all comments are welcome. Of course, now folks are mostly captured with fieldwork, anyway, please, add your opinion to that.

Truly good idea. But as I notice sometimes people often happen to skip even shot location (date could be figured out by EXIF).
People, don't forget about that when possible: that's of a really huge importance (especially, when an insect is not identified)!

Exif, say bluntly, not always kept...

Bad, it's in default settings of my ordinary digital camera for all shots. That's important.

Actually, as I see this, most of photos added to the website have exif. And many websites automatically take it out of a shot while uploading. How hard is it to use the same here?

Except collection shots, this automatic thing would suit there very well.
