Do you have access to your laptop? I can customize everything...
If anything, write! I'm in Zhukovsky.

Customize, especially all sorts of interesting things that can be published together!

Collect it, we need to close the issue with the northern border of terzit)

Did you search on the Oka River? If not, what's stopping it from being there?

02.08.2022 21:15, lepidopterolog

I did not specifically search, I think that nothing bothers.

On the Oka in the place of growth of sainfoin was not found.

04.08.2022 18:58, Vlad Proklov

I was at the same place today - the female, of course, is no longer there-but I took two males without an intra-fiscal point. What can I say - it's the icarus here. There's no sign of an androconial stain. Just such a gene pool has been formed in the local icarus population.

I didn't notice any sainfoin on the spot either (however, if it has already faded, then I would have been damned if I had noticed it).

And in the Ser-Prudsky district (Stolbovka) I collected such a female. What do you think - thersite?

Three nights and a day in Neftyanik, O-Zuevsky district of Moscow region. In nature, there are clearly strong changes, tremulifolia in August? Complete finish! And second-generation linden-eyed hawks are not often found in our region. The bait practically did not work, the vinegar essence was clearly scorched, it did not give a smell, only a couple of scoops flew to eat and three elects. And in the light of 5 pakt and fulminates, nothing came from katokal. Nupt and fraxinium were not at all, as was sponse with promises. There is an outbreak of breeding unpaired, a couple of thousand females collected and soaked in a bucket.

It wasn't supposed to fade. In Lichens now in full bloom.

It torments me. Although the location of the eyes on the rear wing is not unambiguously tormenting.

I shook tettigonias with a net today in Zhukovsky - all caudata (I looked at about ten of them, it's not a statistic, but I was surprised), not a single cantans! And this is not in the floodplain part, but in the Tsagovsky forest. Previously, there were only cantans.
Who will comment on the thread?

15.08.2022 0:09, ИНО

This summer is abnormally dry (especially in May-June), if it is the same in Zhukovsky, then this could be an explanation.

And on Bykovka today was (in the floodplain) - most cantans, although caudata is also enough. Go understand...

By the way - you will probably be interested, on August 7, I met Oedipoda caerulescens for the first time near my dacha. Here: 55.669747, 38.250601. If I didn't catch it, I jumped in front of a passing car and was gone.

And I have in Zhukovsky dominance of some ligeid Arocatus melanocephalus. For some reason, they hang out on the window frame. They feed on the fruit of the elm tree - which is in the yard. Plus, the Central Asian elm deer has grown all over the city - maybe they brought it here with them? The green indicator says "south" about the spread of this bug. confused.gif

Elm elm is Ulmus pumila or what elm?

Yes, he. As a child, I do not remember it here, but in 2008 I arrived after a long break - and it is planted everywhere and gives self-seeding!

I know that Ilya caught a bunch of taraxasi in the Kolomna district, which is great, the second live spot in the Moscow Region for them. I arrived today at 22.00 to my place in Neftyanik, my old point is also alive, I also flew in. Mosquitoes really eat black frown.gif

Yesterday, Stauropus fagi butterflies, whose pupae were grown from eggs from a butterfly collected in July, suddenly began to hatch. It turns out that this species can give 2 generations in our country?

Right now, in the flower beds in front of the house in Moscow (Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye), trumpeters are singing with might and main.
On each flowerbed 2-3. You approach - they fall silent.

There is a terrible invasion of meadow moth in Lishnyagi. They cover the screen in huge quantities. It was possible to catch only in the grass around the screen, or for 5-10 minutes on the screen-by shaking these reptiles off the screen onto the sheet and trampling on them with your feet. From the car and things I will shake them out for a long time. I think I washed it out of my ear with water.
Nevertheless, I caught three more Athetmia centrago (plus two caught there recently) - it looks like they are seriously there this year. And finally, I was lucky with Eulithis testata and Eublemma purpurina.

Epishkin root! And I thought that this was his invasion, but it turns out that we still have a godly way!!!

We have a lot of them, too, but they fly in waves: a couple of days full of them, then a couple of weeks only a few, or even none at all. Then everything repeats. At first, I thought that the dependence on the phases of the moon, but no: some peaks fell on the full moon, and some recessions-on the new moon, so it's something else. There have been 5 waves since the beginning of June, so the voltage has nothing to do with it either. So it's an incomprehensible phenomenon. With other butterflies, I did not notice such a pronounced periodicity.

Yesterday I went with Nikitsky to the Ser-Prudsky district. No night fishing. The melancholy is terrible, I don't even want to do a fast. But I spent the summer and went for a walk in my favorite places.

I had to get up at 4 in the morning (and went to bed at 2: 30!), at 5 we left Zhukovsky, at 7 we were at the first point.

A mortal melancholy.

1) In Lishnyagakh I earlier met only Tettigonia cantans (!) - now there is only T. viridissima.

2) Caught a cicada (but rather a lamplighter) Dictyophara ?europaea, I don't know if it's been caught in MO yet. I only saw her near Anapa. Took. It says "south"in green.

3) There are swarms of meadow moths everywhere, no other microbe can be noticed, but it probably doesn't exist.

4) Still took in Stolbovka a good bug Pinthaeus sanguinipes, lucky me on them.

I was at home at 23 o'clock, while walking along Zhukovsky from the station to the house I heard a trumpeter!

Here's the album, check out the degree of despondency: https://www.flickr.com/photos/evergestis/al...177720301734002

On Monday night, I caught light in Belopesotsky, also nothing special, not counting Agonopterix melancholica and Depressaria silesiaca. There were more hopes, I had two nights there this year with five new species each. True, there were also Spaelotis ravida and Scopula marginepunctata, which I had already caught there earlier this year.
