Yesterday I took a somewhat hasty (due to sudden overlaps) excursion first to the north-east. surroundings of Beloomut (only an hour and a half). A specimen of Glaucopsyche alexis was recorded (there is also a photo) on the Beloomutsky open hot sands. In what only biotopes of the Moscow region I did not meet it. In general, it is interesting how formally a eurytopic view manages to be point-local.

Lasiommata petrovitana and Scolitantides orion points to the east of Beloomut could not be visited, not even close. But a couple of hours later, in the Yegoryevsky district, I found a point of Scolitantides orion that I didn't know before; the safety of butterflies there is now quite decent, although there are clearly yesterday's ones. There are, as usual, mostly males, but it was possible to take a photo of a female laying eggs. I also took pictures of the males feeding. Unfortunately, photos are not attached. I believe that the point is also good, but May is also quite good for this species (in total, twenty individuals were recorded during the twenty-minute stay at the point) and, most likely, at the Scolitantides orion points east of Beloomut (near the intersection of the road to Seltsy with the power line glade), there is also something to do for those who are interested in orion.

In both areas, phlaeas are few and tityrus is common. The caterpillars of the wild goose have exceeded a centimeter and are already attacking not only trees, but also concrete pillars in large numbers. In the gaps of hogs, mariana is common. The May beetle flies around in the sun during the day. In the massif to the east of Beloomut, scum often turns very purple in open areas (in the Yegoryevsky district, it almost exclusively retains the usual green color for this time of year) and in some places it has noticeably increased in number. Over the Beloomutsky ferry - the heron flight.

On May 16, he visited points in the Kolomenskoye and Lukhovitsky districts. Polyxena in the Kolomna district still flies, although it is already few in number, and sometimes even comes across a luxury one. Rhagium sycophanta was recorded in the Kolomna region. In Lukhovitsky - nothing interesting, although poliksenu just did not check.

May 13-14 in Moscow in Losiny Ostrov to the east. from the Belokamennaya MCC platform (more precisely, approximately between the MPS hospital and the hospital of the Presidential Administration) - 5 years of Aglia tau through the gaps in the forest. In a clear morning, they fly only until 11.30, if there are clouds-until 12. On May 17, there is already only one, and then doubtful, flight around 11.00. There are also sporadic flights of Platycerus caraboides.

This season, overwintering mourning women are relatively common - both in Moscow and in the region.

Moscow. Butterflies of this season.
On March 31, a fresh male marginaria was recorded in Fili Park.
On April 2, a male marginaria (isolated), a male aescularia (common), a male and female pilosaria (isolated) were recorded in Izmailovsky Park; in general, the age is early. However, the female pilosaria from the Samodurov collection (photo on the website insectamo.ru) caught exactly on April 2 a quarter of a century earlier.
