Good day to all. I liked it in Abkhazia-the variety of landscapes, and as a result - the views.
Caught a little, more fotkal.

Podaliri and swallowtail are easy to meet near the shore almost at any time.

Allancastria is found far from the sea, in clearings in the mountains, the time is April, if May - then higher. It doesn't go to Alpika, only to the upper part of the forest.

I have seen different Apolons, in August and on Alpika-it is clear that they have different colors, and mnemosyne in June and July is also on Alpika. It's spring there at this time.
I was especially surprised by the appolons-you go into the neighboring gorge and have a completely different color. This summer, in the area of Atsgara, they flew along the alpika like ordinary whiteflies, there were a lot of them. True, the places are hard to reach - we did a hike. The place is completely deserted, only here such a club-footed mountaineer was seen wink.gif

Moreover, they suggest that the common Apollo is a subspecies of suaneticus.

I will also post some photos of trophies:

This year, peacock eyes (grushovaya, in particular) flew to Abkhazia quite fresh in mid-June.
I have one instance in the collection.

On Sunday it was +23. I wandered near Mashuk. There's snow on the top. I saw the first mace - whiskered butterflies-lemongrass (male) and two others-either fighting, or courting each other (I did not understand and did not have time to consider) - whether urticaria, or anguloptera With-white.
Ants scurry everywhere. A variety of flies.

Yesterday I leave the house at night - I look at a pregnant cat-eyes in a bun and at the wall: - and there the "barn" scolopendra crawled out on the lime wall lit by a lamp. The length is about 4cm. A little more.

This is not a scolopendra, but a drupe, and its length is close to the maximum.

But you still chose a cruel way to display your photos...

Yesterday in the city I saw a slightly worn burdock. This is so to understand that this is a migratory individual that has arrived, it turns out?
I saw a turnip (male) today on the weeds - it turns out that it has already come out of the pupa! And spring is cold and very late.

05.04.2018 1:50, ИНО

And it is necessary that at least a preview can be seen right here without unnecessary clicks. The [img][/img] tags are used for this purpose. And your method, when it is impossible to know a priori what is depicted there and, accordingly, whether you want to watch it , is really cruel. What if there's just another photo of a nude beach? lol.gif

Spring is late, but it's a sin for you to complain in comparison with residents of other regions. You have daytime butterflies already, in theory, flying for a month. We've only just got them, and they're still only one admiral's worth of them.

We went with my wife to the village today. Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkess Republic) in order to put soil traps, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was not possible to do so. So we decided to spend 4 hours (from 8 to 12) walking around the local places and catching all sorts of insects, after which we set off home. Well, I managed to take some pictures. Life is in full swing...

Dear colleagues!
The repository of reports on expeditions within the Stavropol Territory, as well as on interesting finds directly in the city of Stavropol and its environs, has been somewhat reorganized on yandex. Disk (for ease of use, for breaking down material "by point", for adding materials for previous years).
In this connection, I give a link to the shared folder:

https://yadi.sk/d/iezKYQ_V3WCDRi
Please pay attention to the auxiliary file "Chronology of expeditions and observations"when viewing this folder!

All previous links are active.
I will continue to inform you about the addition of new reports (for the current year, for previous years).
If you are interested, please read the written report in each photo folder.
An invitation, if you are interested, to view video files in folders with photos (located at the end).

A new report has been added! (there are photos and videos)
Report No. 2.100. " Grushevyi village (near Stavropol). May 18, 2018 ":

Dear colleagues, good afternoon!

The shield bug Halyomorpha halys is actively spreading around Sochi, in Abkhazia, Georgia. No one has the opportunity to collect several individuals, put them in alcohol/vodka and send them to St. Petersburg? Not necessarily from Russia. Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries are also interesting. I am ready to pay for the shipment.

Yes, this is a "stinky bug", it is in Abkhazia all terribly jammed! But I won't get there until early September, and I'll be there a lot. You can collect it there in tons, I can send this joy by mail mad.gif. A bottle of tea will do? Well, you, father and gourmet!
And so in the summer in the mountains I plan to see the appolonchiks.

Yes, this is it. at least in September (but earlier it would have been much better, maybe you can send mail from there?). Preferably several pieces from different locations (with an indication of where they came from).

I don't know about chacha. usually in alcohol or vodka for fixing. At least a little. But let's go with chacha - the main thing is that they don't start to decompose.

thank you in advance!

- You speak different languages and talk about different things, and maybe your mentality does not allow you to hear and understand each other.

About this bug, I will say that I, for the life of me , can not specifically remember when I first saw it in Sochi. Had he been there before? And last year in September, for example, he climbed all the windows in the room in the mass.
But we don't have it on KMV yet. Instead, similar in size inhabit these:

This bug, of course, has never been seen in Sochi before. This is an invasive species. It moved from China to the North in the 1990s. To America and around the same time to Switzerland. Most likely with packaging materials. From Switzerland, he settled in Europe, reached the North. Italy, from where he most likely got to Sochi with planting material in 2013. There are already a lot of articles about this, including our colleagues and me. Our work, for which I ask bedbugs from different locations, is precisely aimed at understanding how closely related populations from different countries are.

You will not be able to cancel or completely destroy it now. The damage to local agriculture will be great. And it will be very annoying in the houses...

A short photo report about a trip to the Sarykum dune (Dagestan).

We went for one day. The navigator showed the nearest route through the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic. And this is all in order to get to our neighboring Republic of Dagestan (we were traveling from Stavropol). I decided to give it a try.... We were traveling at night, so they gave us documents for checking at all the posts, showed us luggage racks, etc., which took a lot of time. The only advantage of this route is the price of gasoline (3-5 rubles lower than in the rest of Russia).
We have already decided to go back around all four republics - it is much quieter, and we have won in time.

As for Sarykum, in previous photo reports, everyone has already said everything for me and more than once. The places are amazing, the fauna is very diverse. After being here for a few minutes, I already regretted that I spent so much time this year on all sorts of Dosangs, Kalmykia and the like in search of an interesting semi-desert and desert. I should have gone straight to Sarykum! I'll do it next spring.

Part of the catch was not captured on the camera, at the moment everything is in the freezer, so in the report I will limit myself only to those species that I managed to take pictures of live.

Yesterday, near the Salt Lake, I noticed how a huge rider/wasp (I don't even know the name, since I see it for the first time) was running backwards, holding a huge spider by the cephalothorax. Startled by the camera, he flew away, but then returned, found and continued his work, dragging the victim into the bushes.
Sorry for the terrible quality.

I rummaged around, and came to the conclusion that I most likely have Cryptocheilus octomaculatus
