16.01.2013 16:07, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #7435

By the way, it's done, two years haven't passed.

16.01.2013 15:57, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #18590

The author identified it right, just didn't manage to link the photo with the ID properly. Just fixed it. Vitaly, such mislinking happens due to you incorrectly write the species name like c album without hyphen whilst the catalogue name actually has hyphen (c-album).

15.01.2013 22:25, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #18593

Would like to say it again, it's never bad to confirm the ID. It's not about that the one who identified would have no doubt, but lest other people have any, since those might know nothing of the species, if it's common or not, neither know anything at all.

15.01.2013 22:20, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #18581

To Vitaly and all photographers as well, please let's not add dry specimens two things at once in one photo. This way (easier to compare) is good for guides and home archives, while the photos on the website can be used and selected in many ways, and it's just two clicks for to have two separate pics before the eyes, instead such double photos make the search quite more complicated. So if any of ...

And in the end , if you have any questions, contact the author and ask if there is a questionable indication of its verification (for example, in the light of the latest revision). A normal person will make contact, and the one who made a fake one will either not answer at all, or say that "there was an accident".

Curious specimen. Little bit asymmetrical.

15.01.2013 0:05, headshotboy: comment on Attention! We need help in rescuing the Insectarium department of the Leningrad Zoo

Unclear In LenZoo there is an exotarium, there are some parallel exhibitions of reptiles and besps - and there is this very insectarium.Without knowing the background, it's hard to say anything.M. B., the director is indeed richly gifted, but alternatively, and decided that butterflies do not bring money and well, they are figs. This is the simplest option, but not the only one, in such ...

14.01.2013 20:04, Peter Khramov: comment on photo #18508

I think Vitaly's right about worn-out specimens, they're of need. Extras — see above. As for smaller size photos, let's take time since I've got original size photos for most of them, so one of the future goal is to upload these larger size pics. The thing is that I can't just change the prior photo with a new one, the very files need to be changed whilst the new ones already uploaded with all ...

12.01.2013 23:22, Lev Bely: comment on Butterflies and music: Dolly Parton / Caspar Babypants

First, there is a short story to tell. In the memorable 100-meter men's sprint of the Olympics 2012 in London a British gentleman Ashley Gill-Webb being presumably in high spirits (beer as well, they say), threw a bottle on to the track allegedly aiming at the future champion. The abuser failed, so the race ended with Usain Bolt's win, whilst the very Gill-Webb got unlucky twice since his ...
