Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Размах крыльев — от 14 до 17 мм. Верх крыльев темно-коричневый с красно-коричневыми пятнами (последние более заметны на передних крыльях бабочки), испод крыльев также коричневого цвета, на нем располагаются красные пятна, а на задних крыльях к ним добавляются еще и белые. [85].

  • Краснокнижный вид из редкой для РФ группы Riodininae. Местообитания: опушки лиственных лесов, лесные луга, предпочитает холмистую местность, известковые почвы. [85].

  • Время лёта: май — конец июня. В южной части ареала бывает второе поколение в августе—сентябре. [85].
