Serica brunnea - The mass harvest of this species occurs in June-July. Beetles fly at dusk and at night, often flying to the light. The generation is annual. Adults feed on leaves, larvae damage the roots of plants. [1]

In 2007, I caught Oxythyrea funesta on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
As for Serica brunnea, it is better to catch it with soil traps.
Another thing is how to catch Rhombonyx holosericea, we have, in the Moscow region, it is caught, frankly, not important. Can anyone tell you how (and where - if it's not a secret) you can catch this beast?

And in my opinion, it is better to catch it in the light. It flies regularly.

Will it fly to the light of a regular 100-watt light bulb? or you only need drl-250, otherwise you haven't got a generator yet, and the 220v current converter is not built for drl, although it is designed for 350 watts.

It even flies into the firelight smile.gif

With Serica brunnea, everything is clear now!
But Amphimallon soltitiale is not too late to catch?
