Fortunately, mnemosyne is much better in Ukraine than Apollo. wink.gif

In the region of this theme, undoubtedly inhabits. I don't know the details. In the Kharkiv region, it is very local, but in places of habitation it can be common.

A new topic is open for discussion of the Carpathian lepidofauna. The reason is the desire to find out whether Parnassius apollo still lives on the territory of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

Only in my opinion, it is more correct to rename the topic " Butterflies of the Ukrainian Carpathians and...", because the "Carpathian basin" is the territory of Hungary, as far as I understand.

You're absolutely right. I made an unconscious mistake. Automatically wrote without thinking. KB has nothing to do with it. That's not what I meant. The idea was to create a theme for the Carpathians in principle - from Slovakia to Romania. Here on this map it is well shown what was meant http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...26newwindow%3D1

And if there are no outbreaks, I will rename the topic to "Butterflies of the Carpathians and the Dniester canyon."

Do not judge strictly, but in my opinion, then you will still have to separately highlight the topic "Apollo in Ukraine", since there is no doubt about his presence in the Carpathians. And the question is precisely in the habitat on the territory of Ukraine. Although, what difference does it make how to name the topic, the main thing is to find out the truth smile.gif

Here he is, like, and caught apollo in the Dniester canyon in the 80's. The point seems to be there, a little vague, but it's not clear if there was a population there, they would already know about it, and why a single specimen, a stray migrant, or something, appears jump.gif
So it seems to me, and even if the label says " Ivano-Frankivsk region." then it is very much like falsification, because: "In general, the Ukrainian and Crimean Apollo with real finds - would be bombs! "

It seems to me that if someone really found Apollo in Ukraine, it would be a small sensation, and it would quickly spread, and I don't understand the point of hiding such a find.

According to Yu. Canary, Apollo in the 80's still caught in Selyatin, this is somewhere in Bukovina, Chernivtsi region.
