In the Ustyurt West, at least three species were born.
The shallowest (cr. 15 mm long), in a clay semi-desert:

Flat-footed dragonfly [Platycnemis pennipes], male. He eats mayfly - I don't know what kind.

Thank beer.gifyou, although I myself do not understand insects, but I immediately had the feeling that there is nothing exotic in the dragonfly, the same as they are found here.

I also took a picture of a large green grasshopper in Rhodes. But I think there is also nothing unusual can not be, a grasshopper like a grasshopper. The only unusual thing is that I stayed in one place for 4 days without moving smile.gif

This is a rider from the genus Enicospilus (Ichneumonidae, Ophioninae), I can't say more precisely from the photo - the discocubital cell of the wing feathers and the shape of the sclerite (s) in it are not clearly visible. If the animal is caught, remove this section of the wing so that the radial vein (moving away from the pterostigma) is visible on a light background. There are few options: E. ocellatus Shest. (most likely), E. cruciator Victorov, E. repentinus Holmgr.
In general, there is a topic for correspondence...

I dare say that epithets do not have a metallic luster. In the photo, apparently, a dragonfly from the genus Cordulia.

In deep pardon redface.gif! I'm not very good at dragonflies, so I really got the names of the genera mixed up. Of course, this is most likely Cordulia.
