Thank you, but can you tell me the characteristic signs so that I don't confuse them as much as possible in the future?

First of all, the bare and shiny dorsal field of the propodeum, as well as the red posterior half of the 1st abdominal segment.

Unfortunately, we can only say "something" - a male burrowing wasp of the tribe Psenini [Crabronidae, Pemphredoninae].
The image quality does not allow you to determine even the gender.

Hello, help me determine the view. A living hymenopteran was found. Nizhny Novgorod region. 4.02.2020.
The oral apparatus resembles the apparatus of butterflies (the proboscis was not visible), two yellow visible parts move down, L-shaped. The insect is covered with small hairs - they can be observed on the walls of the box. It has 4 wings, the lower pair is bordered. At the end of the abdomen, a double tail extends from above, consisting of two oval pubescent parts (like cancer, but without the middle parts), in the photo it is folded. Apparently, it belongs to the sessile-bellied subfamily. The color is black, the stripes are yellow.

It's not a hymenopteran.

Tarkhankut, Crimea June 7 on the shore of the estuary, it seems to me that this is a male Tropidodynerus interruptus, but since I could not find information on all local species, please check if the definition is correct.

Some kind of sphecida. Nothing can be seen, but based on the location of the find, we can timidly assume Sceliphron curvatum. Judging by the last photo, the real reason to be afraid is not you, but they.

And why does it have a prong at the end of its abdomen, like Lithurgus? But Lithurgus should have clear bandages. I don't understand, it's hard to see. It doesn't look like O. rufohirta either, and it's too late for it. confused.gif

I thought it was a stinger arrangement like Galictus'. But the most interesting thing is

15.02.2020 22:53, Kseniialem

Google says that this is something similar to a black and yellow mud daub. Yes, that's exactly what it says. As for me - a suitable name. lol.gif and as I understand it, Sceliphron curvatum belongs there, only on these that I killed - there were no yellow stripes, completely black. There were two of them in my closet, if they laid eggs, then these eggs will die on their own, because I killed large individuals?

Curvatum always has yellow-brown stripes. Either you didn't see them, or it's something else (which is unlikely).

The translator ignored the word "Wasp". Although what kind of request, such is the answer lol.gif

Female Chelostoma, subgenus Chelostoma s. str. As luck would have it, the platypus is closed, sometimes by a stamen, then by a peduncle. On Ornithogalum (is it O. arcuatum?) rather, it will be Ch. mocsaryi, it is not marked there, but it should be.

And in my opinion Euodynerus quadrifasciatus (as far as you can see, the edging of the pronotum is not very wide, the punctuation of the scutum and tergums is moderately large, the lamella on the second tergum is narrow, so that E. posticus fits less, and the pubescence is rather shaggy, so it doesn't really pull on E. notatus either).

25.02.2020 18:13, ИНО

Please tell me I'm not an expert. I didn't notice the semi-transparent evodyne border right away. Lamella - is that what it's called? It will be necessary to check your photos of allodinerus on the subject of stray evodinerus, otherwise I can't see them, except for dantizi, something here, and they should be...

26.02.2020 1:56, Кархарот

Yes, that's what it's called (I wrote "on the second tergum", but really meant "on the first"). Allodynerus is also slightly slimmer in body, but it is necessary to fill the eye.
