My son is into ants, but I'm not into arthropods.

Caught during the summer, Kiev, late May. The offspring started hatching a couple of days ago, you need to know what to feed. Sorry for the quality of the photo, but the test tube was made of quartz glass, and we don't want to disturb you now. If these are too few I'll try to get a better
picture Thank you

Subgenus Serviformica. Most likely Formica cinerea. Feed with sweet water, honey diluted in water, and small dead insects. At the Ant Lovers Club (antclub.org) will explain in detail.

Most likely Formica cinerea.

A bold conclusion based on such creepy photos.

A bold conclusion based on such creepy photos.

By the color and silky gloss of the nape and abdomen.

So ants define dumb, you need to count the hairs. Here, now I shone a flashlight through a test tube at my uterus and looked - everything is still shining there. The color is slightly different, but it is very variable.

Yes, the female with the elephant Cleonus sp.

Thanks! Elephant-Otiorhynchus ovatus (opr. Mantispid).
And according to Ectemnius, it is deaf with lichen?

Another wasp from the same place:

Another wasp from the same place:

I believe a specialist about the elephant - I can't guarantee a hit myself.

About the OS:
The first is Lestica alata [not Ectemnius].
The second is Argogorytes mystaceus

If you determine exactly-then by the hairs. And here I wrote "Most likely". I think 80 percent of it is Formica cinerea. The remaining 20% is for possible color variations. The color in the photo may also differ from the natural one.

From Heriades? Ciscaucasia

Yes, Heriades. It can be confused with Osmia scutellaris, but it doesn't seem to be her.

1-pompyl, similar to Deuteragenia sp. [Pompilidae]
2-a burrowing Trypoxylon wasp from the figulus group [Crabronidae]
For a more precise definition, unfortunately, the images are too small.

It is very similar to Ectemnius nigritarsus, but it would be good to examine the sides of the chest in detail for the presence or absence of longitudinal wrinkles.

Yes, you can see everything now. And, judging by the ribbed posterior midspine, this is a different species-Ectemnius spinipes.

From such a photo, I can't identify any formics or camponotuses to the point of view. Here you need to look at the hairs on the body and the lower edge of the platband.
