HELP!
the beetle was caught on April 24 near Kazan on a steam field. near an oak grove, a ravine with water
for the second day I can not determine )))))

What's wrong with the female Harpalus distinguendus Duft? I'm like 90% sure that she is. And if the color (i.e., the white balance in the image) was natural , I would say exactly.

27.04.2010 20:32, RippeR

Dorcadion is definitely not a holocericeum! But who-I find it difficult.. looks like the weird tauricum, but are they there..?
I advise you to catch them in those places)

- Unas, I think only 3 species live. Including Corynatum. The other 2 are striped. It is this one that I presented-u na as dirt in some places.
- Maybe there was a misunderstanding with the Photoshop color?

The pits are clearly an artifact-a mutation! Harpals don't normally have such dimples!

Our (Saratov) sareptanum are quite different, although I have seen boxes with them from different regions, too, the variability is strong

Thank you. Yes, I often noticed such beetles on flowers, sometimes on daisies. There is only one collection in the closet, it doesn't seem to have deteriorated yet (I'll check it out). At home, only on the windows and windowsills met, on the summer porch also often fly, something else, probably, eat there. Another beetle, only brown, sometimes also occurs, I will try to photograph it in the near future.
