Greetings to all. Today, after a long, long winter, I got out to my birch grove for the first time. Despite the cold winter, cute animals are already there. Take a professional look. The first beetle, in my opinion, is a nutcracker, possibly black (Hemicrepidius niger), and the second is a tube-shaped beetle, 5 millimeters in size, so I don't know if it's too small for T. polyivorous...

The quality is not very good, but the pipefish is most likely Byctiscus populi (Linnaeus, 1758) - the bottom should be blue. The nutcracker is a Selatosomus in my opinion.

I didn't notice. The beetle itself is golden brown. The sun was very bright. Therefore, the color is not very good turned out.And this creature was sitting on a young birch tree. While I was turning the sheet to get a better picture of it, it safely bent its legs and was like this.

I looked from the side, all the belly in bristles and small dots.

Yes, IMHO it's all Cyphocleonus achates. There is also a similar C. cenchrus in the south, but it is slightly different and has a belly without bare points.

Something happened today (((
I caught a miracle animal in a minibus.. And then he ran away from me when he tried to close it in a cigarette pack, for which I hate myself ((

A brief description of what I managed to see (I didn't really look at it, just a little)
size about 5-6 mm
completely black
elytra in the floor of the body
whiskers, like, look like something sylphoid..
the muzzle is semicircular - when I started to look at it, I thought that the humpback is shaped like a muzzle, well, this is fleeting.. ))
I don't remember much else.. Who can think of what it could be, please write, very interesting at least to the family or genus to bring..!
I attach a diagram-drawing..

Trichoferus campestris (Faldermann 1835)
or Trichoferus griseus (Fabricius 1792).

10.05.2010 3:14, Fornax13

Rather, campestris IMHO (in Chuvashia there is, we now have too), inhabits the apple tree.
