Today I caught a T-shirt in a vacant lot, I ask for help in identifying it. We've always had only Meloe proscarabaeus and Meloe violaceus. I've never seen the others, and this one is quite different. Small, 2 cm long.

Most likely, Blaps halophila. To identify blots from photos, it is advisable to have clear photos in three angles-top, bottom and side.

Both are from the Blaps mortisaga group. Most likely, it is. It is difficult to determine exactly from a not very clear photo and from one angle.

Well, I really missed it! Thanks!
It turns out that I already have such a beetle in my assets, only a female, so I didn't recognize it..., although I had some thoughts. But I was knocked down by a fir tree, I was looking among coniferous barbels... smile.gif

But I was knocked down by a fir tree, I was looking among coniferous barbels... smile.gif

It is probably related to conifers in its development: larvae are found in the rotten wood of lying trunks, as well as the stumps of pine and spruce. A fir tree? Why not?.. By the way, Oxymirus cursor females come across much more often than males, finding a male is luck.

Geotrupes olgae, using the exclusion method, since the signs are not really visible; -). To determine geotrups, in addition to the top view, it is very desirable to have a clear photo of the front legs from the side or from below.

Poecilus cupreus.

definitely Harpalus-cf. the male's paws are extended, and he is too "graceful" for Poecilus, and the species is most likely distinguendus Duft., 1812
