- So, it turns out that this one of mine (defined earlier)is also the same? eek.gif "why are they so different?" confused.gifOr is it Agapanthia intermedia?

Of course, agapantium needs to be twisted in your hands, but... these are both violas, just one slightly greener. And in my opinion, the interlude is a little slimmer.
2 I wrote 'with a black sawyere',and dahli with yellow ones, just like the last one. Daurika on DV wink.gifrather vilosoviridiscens, but something confuses.

Agapanthia dahli?
Agapanthia cynarae?
Agapanthia turanica?

this is from the lederi subchalybaea subnigra group. Nothing there is really clear.

And stop "identifying" blue agapanthia when you can't see the protruding elytra pubescence strictly from the side. It's pointless.

Phytoecia (Musaria) affinis is a subspecies of nigropubescens relatively speaking. There are many of them and they are very different.

Andreas, you misunderstood Maxim. The first part concerned the beetle from post # 28972, and the side view is needed for the "BLUE" agapanthia.

Yes, this is a cost of telegraphic style, I apologize. Yellow agapanthia is certainly similar to villosoviridescens. These are quite complex beetles, highly variable. In this group, all species have densely pubescent bright yellow forms, slightly pubescent dark ones, and an intermediate variant. In this sense (as an alternative to villosoviridescens), we can consider the yellow form of A. lederi (what Plavilshchikov called helianhti). But this needs to be done with a fair amount of comparative material to understand the key differences at all. I still haven't done this, unfortunately.
A. daurica is not found in the European part, it can be distinguished from villosoviridescens by the ratio of the length of the lower lobe of the eye / cheek. villosoviridescens has longer cheeks. I do not know how variable this trait is in eastern populations of villosoviridescens.

Only the newly hatched unpainted Harpalus. It is possible to tell more precisely only up to the group of species by the characteristic solid dotted line of the base of the prsp. Not the best genus to determine from the photo

This is Harpalus affinis-there are the marginal spaces of hairy

You mean my ground beetle ? I have it in a container right now. I wanted to release it tomorrow (found it today). Will it change color ? I can still hold it at home and watch it.
