more like Megatoma graeseri

That's right, it's Megatoma, but not M. graeseri, but M. tianschanica. The other half of me is of the opinion that M. tianschanica is a good species, not a subspecies of M. graeseri smile.gif

Maybe M. tianschanica doesn't have yellow bandages.

Please tell me the subspecies of cervus. I collected about 20 specimens of this lucanus (Stavropol Territory, Kochubeyevsky district, Barsukovskaya station and Balakhonovskoye village, with a narrow range located between them along the Kuban River). Most specimens have 4 segments of the club of the antennae, some have 5 segments. The nearest point I know is Ibericus, which is 120 km away in a straight line. Externally, it is impossible to distinguish from ibericus, except by the mace (ibericus from KMV have longer middle segments of the mace). Instances with different numbers of club segments do not differ in any way.

Hello! In the photo, a female and a male lucanus. I find it difficult to determine their types. As it seems to me, on the left is cervus. Please help me identify it. Bugs were caught in the Rostov region, Shakhty 1.07 and 30.06. Thank you in advance!

Mikhail I'm sorry, I didn't collect all the hawk moth, sailboats and other butterflies)))
I didn't even want to catch anything here, it was just a reflex, I guess smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
Oh yes, the first thing I saw when I left the hotel was a large purple Crimean ground beetle, but it was also the last beetle I released)), since I had nothing but pockets ))
Unfortunately, she was the only one like this on my vacation.
