43 and 45 Episyrphus balteatus is a sirphid with a very distinctive appearance. You can't confuse it with anything else.

55-there is a good website with lots of photos of European tahini trees:

alex 2611, thank you very much. Once I found 53 near Moscow on the umbrella in large quantities. Next to them it was a little creepy, but I wanted to climb even less in the rain.

21.11.2008 21:50, gumenuk

Yeah. Usually they are found in the mass in late spring and early summer on umbrella flowers.

Well I do not know... I'm not really into Bibionids, but from what I've seen...it doesn't look very similar...

No, 53 are Sciaridae, and they may well be in the mass on umbelliferae until the middle of August, as I myself witnessed.

I believe about August. I somehow paid attention to them all at the beginning of the summer - that's what was deposited in my head. Thank you for the family, identifying a family is sometimes the most difficult thing.

The size of these Bombylius flies in length (without proboscis) is about 0.9-10 mm.

Look at these" white " mosquitoes. Maybe someone will be able to determine (If it is difficult, then at least the family). All Moscow suburbs.

Yes, I just shot them more than once and the drawing is specific - there is something to cling to. And the female is very different (not only in the eyes) - I thought at once that two different species. In general, I spent several hours with them. smile.gif

72 Chrysotoxum octomaculatum? - Chrysotoxum to the species I will not risk

78 and 80 in my opinion, even the genus is different
80 without a doubt Cheilosia is a large genus, I have 25 species in my collection from the Flax region. I refused to identify this genus from the photo, but this species generally resembles Cheilosia albitarsis and is usually found on buttercup flowers

and I would generally call 78 Pipiza, but I won't even try to get to the species - I'm not very "friendly"with this genus

75 snipe girl? - yes

2 I want to call Bombylius posticus
and 1 I generally want to write in the genus Systoechus, but representatives of this genus like less than 9-10 mm
Better not take my assumptions seriously.

It's actually very easy to make mistakes. I've been tormenting the sirfid since June 1986. And the results are not always there. And so here it is, removing all the groups is very difficult to understand.
