It's not winter, it's just that when a Collector is on the forum , we always have a holiday.

Ah, well, clearly, there is a reason-Friday every day!

10.01.2012 21:22, Victor Titov

Realizing that I myself am somewhat guilty of deviating from the "set topic", I urge: friends, let's finish flooding, and? The topic is good, necessary, useful, and the number of pages in it should not be increased by discussing "near-human" problems (imaginary and non-imaginary). And it will be unbearable - there is a "gazebo" for this. And then there are already recorded fans of pofludit-potrollit begin to catch up...

I don't have any more no.gif

I could, in principle, reset the page of the determinant, where there are three species from the genus Scaeva.
But there in English....

10.01.2012 22:45, алекс 2611

Collector, I don't think I wrote that dignota is in the "Green". You persist in believing that ALL species are included in this determinant. I don't even know what to think. It's not for me, it's for another doctor.

and you couldn't stand it..... smile.gif

Grish, don't you have the impression that the Collector is actually an adult and smart guy? He's too professional at making smart and calm people lose their temper.... confused.gif

11.01.2012 2:15, Pirx

I already understood and corrected shuffle.gifmyself . I'm not on diptera, I'm on beetles... And then I still study and study.

No, no, Dmitritch, this isn't for you! I don't really know which volume the beetles are in (Jedem das Seine). It was a cry of despair! weep.gif

Lesh, I would also be able to, and not even from one book, but even from the article of Dyushek and Lyaski, and the original description of Scaeva odessana Paramonov, and I would say it with three boxes - if there was hope!

Thank you Evgeny!
I've wanted to deal with it for a long time.
I also asked in the topic "Interesting flies".
Now everything fell into place.
Ater's "banding" is not pronounced. (this is when I looked at the pictures)

1-male Eupeodes corollae, this is the most common species of the genus in Europe
2-female Scaeva selenitica / dignota-unfortunatelysmile.gif, up to the species only under binocular according to the article (unfortunately there is no possibility to make pdf):

Dušek J. & Láska P. A review of the genus Scaeva Fabricius (Diptera, Syrphidae) with the description of a new species from Chile // Acta ent. bohemoslov. — 1985. — Vol. 82, № 3. — P. 206–228.

In principle, the literature notes that dignota is almost allopatric with selenitica, but in some places they can be found together; S. dignota in the Balkans, for example, inhabits mainly Mediterranean landscapes, while S. selenitica, occurring much more widely but less frequently, inhabits forests and meadows (Dušek & Láska, 1985; Radenković, Šimić & Vujić, 1995). In the Crimea, I caught both species and did not notice much difference in biotopes. In Ukraine, dignota north of the Odessa region and Crimea has not yet been recorded.
