I'm afraid that there is no specialized store in Moscow. You won't be able to buy anything in the store other than binoculars. Personally, I can sell entomological pins: Czech "Morpho"
black, numbers 1,2,3 price 150 rubles pack Can cross in the subway for example.
write to proctos@rambler.ru we'll call you later.

Today I was at the Bird Market, and there is "Entomological shop No. 1". jump.gif
Their website here.
At the time of writing this post, the site is not yet detailed, but it gives a general idea. They promised to make it more complete by the fall of 2007.
And there are a lot of things for sale there. You can use the phone number listed there to call and find out.

Yeah, an entomology store is great, but I don't think it's going to last very long... frown.gif

As I understand it, they are trying to achieve at least zero balance this year.
Therefore, it is probably better to support this initiative, send information to friends who may be interested in it, and put links to their site where possible. Or something else.

05.06.2007 14:52, RippeR

first of all, you need to start buying from them..
But, for example, microscopes are not only used by entomologists.. So if there is a wide variety of products, then not only at the expense of entomologists will be able to get out

05.06.2007 16:15, Vadim Yakubovich

Yes, we will be happy to support you, if only the price lists are not posted on the phone, but in the open. Yes, in the photo I saw volumes of the insect detector of the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation in their pavilion, also for sale? I would buy many volumes.

And what is not traded on the in tu?

13.06.2007 15:48, guest: vicgrr

I went to them here to support them, and they have almost nothing from the equipment. I picked up some of the leftovers, so if anyone's coming, I'd better call first to see if there's been any deliveries.

I visited it yesterday. Very nice people. I bought some pins. There were also boxes and nets on sale. And, of course, insects. There is a delicious collection of tropical barbels, however, the price is also good: -)

I visited them yesterday, too. There are pins (I bought 2 packs), boxes (oak, 1500-2000 rubles), a set of German straighteners (5000 rubleseek.gif), a beushnaya Soviet sliding straightenersmile.gif, ethyl acetate (40 ml-30 rubles), microscopes, tweezers, etc. There are books: from the most useful-3 volumes of the Determinant of the Far East and an excellent book d'abrerra "Butterflies of the World" - 3500 rubles. They promised that soon there will be a delivery of boxes for 750 rubles. and sliding straighteners. In general, the store and the seller make a very pleasant impression, we can only hope that it will bring profit to the owners and not close, while prices will decrease.

What can I say? entomology is an expensive hobby...
branded items will always be expensive, the rest is just as lucky. where samopal, where our craftsmen will copy. Personally, I hope for China. Who will be the first to guess to throw out the Chinese range of equipment on the market? Optics, and excellent, have already appeared, we are waiting for the rest! Gentlemen merchants of the au! Break away from the Czech Republic! smile.gif

Please tell me, aren't these 3 books about beetles?

28.06.2007 0:26, lepidopterolog

To be honest, I don't know, I didn't look closely, since I already have the volume about mace-whiskered butterflies that interests mesmile.gif. I can only say that volumes are 3, 4 and 5.

I visited this store yesterday. It's a small pavilion. Two people in it. Boris Zhuravlev is in charge. I talked to you. The main cash profit comes from the sale of decorative tropical insects. From the equipment, they take almost only pins and nets, and, surprisingly, cotton mattresses (!). I turned the nets around (the choice is very large) - I didn't like any of them, everything is very flimsy, only to catch butterflies on the fly. Most models have folding hoops. I looked at the tropics - everything is only decorative, no labels, just hang on the wall. weep.gif What is remarkable is that there are many rare species. For example, Mormolyce ground beetles are offered in abundance. I asked them if they were coming from Malaysia. Price from 1000 to 1500 rubles per copy. in a frame. There is also a lot of interesting stuff among the Uachs. There are books - the notorious determinant of the Far East in the volumes mentioned above, several old and old manuals on collecting collections. The stand in front of the pavilion is decorated with a huge Soviet guide to pest control of fruit crops, in the form of a colorful album. Among others, it includes all peacock eyes, except tau, podaliri, swallowtail, and a lot of mother-of-pearl (I don't know what they're probably accused of witchcraft for). I bought a few packs of pins, asked about the dies, but I didn't find any triangular ones, and I'm just gluing them on now. I looked at the boxes, there are imported ones, Czech ones, none at all, there is something that local craftsmen prepare. Among these, there are decent specimens, almost perfect. In my size 30x40 it turned out that I liked it, solid beech, covered with red stain, bottom made of birch plywood, tight-fitting lid, everything is well polished. The bottom is already lined with polyurethane. To support our people, I bought a couple of them. The price is 1500, but I don't regret it yet. I saw microscopes and binoculars in the window, very decent looking, I thought they were German, but it turned out to be Chinese. In the middle was a compact, cute binocular that bribed me with its size, a neat, almost German appearance. Asked - 6500 rubles, decided to see how it seems. It turned out to be complete bullshit, even up to MBS to him, like a star, the picture is fuzzy, the depth of field at 20x is scanty. I wonder what kind of Chinese binocular Proctos uses to shoot its gorgeous pictures? What kind of Chinese products does he praise? No, it's a little early to buy Chinese. After that, I didn't look at the microscope anymore.

I take the cotton mattresses.... they have them made well) I'm too lazy to lick them)

By the way, yesterday I also saw Czech boxes and I liked them more than ours - I really don't like solid wood - I like thick cardboard more - and it's lighter and more compact and looks more modern.

Omar, thank you for the comprehensive information.

I looked at their price list on the site, and I had a section "literature" and was horrified eek.gifWhere they got such prices? Everything is too expensive, but you want to take a lot....

15.07.2007 17:30, RippeR

If such prices were not set, in my opinion, it would be easier to get out at least at 0.. and so, with such prices, except for Lobster, no one will buy anything smile.gifWell, Sparrow mattresses will take smile.gifBy the way, how much are they?? Is there a box attached for mattresses, or so?

15.07.2007 17:54, Sparrow

Oh dear... 25 rubles mattress + box a hundred) there are 15 pieces fits... but I'm too lazy to do it) Yes, let them still think about what to do with prices - they have no competition - they have the right to drive prices, let's see how much the market niche justifies itself)

It would be very convenient if the site had a newsletter of news and new arrivals (including literature). It is not difficult to do it even after subscribe.ru...

Your disenchantment, Omag, is easily explained. You tried the simplest model (6.500) This is practically an entry-level model, a toy for children.
I use a professional model MS-2 (zoom) with a trinocular for photos.
It costs 17,000 rubles. In addition, I purchased an additional set of magnifying lens attachments(1.5 and 2.0) and eyepieces for 15X, which cost another 3 thousand rubles. The maximum magnification I now have is 120X
, the same devices were purchased in ZINA and are now being purchased in 101 labu from Makarov.

Gentlemen, can you tell me if this Czech store will send you to Russia?

Gentlemen, can you tell me if this Czech store will send you to Russia?

In principle, of course it will forward it. This is not a problem for them.
the problem is just for us. Payment method: Bank transfer (commission) of currency, account opening. Do you have any experience in such cases?
Payment with a credit card , This is if they have an online store. This is the simplest option.
Receiving method. The parcel may be forced to clear customs with payment of fees.
In what case it doesn't happen, I don't know, I was forced to. This added 10% to the price, they say that I was lucky.

26.07.2007 15:38, Dmitrii Musolin

on the website of the store in Moscow, it was written that they send an agent to Prague and accept orders

26.07.2007 15:49, taler

Which, in principle, will give through an agent, the same price as with a customs clearance card. And maybe even more expensive. However, there are more guarantees with the agent that the product WILL not ARRIVE BROKEN or BROKEN.And I think there are fewer problems if the store takes care of everything. But you have to pay for everything
