Polar Urals - what's interesting?

I'm going on a hike in the polar Urals in mid-July. I'm thinking of grabbing some bug fishing gear. What interesting coleoptera is found there? Where and how to search?

I don't know anything about beetles.. But you must collect all the butterflies without fail! There are interesting Parnassus, aeneis, erebia, Colias and especially ursa major!!!! For greater credibility, I repeat once again the BEARS. You can also catch 1 piece of such a thing that then you will exchange half of the SSR beetles wink.gif

Place traps (glasses) on ground beetles. Collect a lot of interesting things. wink.gif

Yes, the karabuses there are awesome.
Still worth seeing is the local Phoebus subspecies (Parnassius phoebus uralensis) - a very large one. In general, you need to catch everything there!

With butterflies, it is unlikely to work - the net is fragile and takes up more space than a box with mattresses. But if I find something , I'll try to take it: -)

I have never caught glasses before, so there are a couple of questions: is it better to catch with bait (what should I use then? Will the meat do?") or just in glasses of water (you definitely won't be able to drag another retainer)?

in glasses, you can also add meat at the very least.. But the best bait is beer with wine and sugar.. If you can't smuggle anything, then I think you can buy beer there at least, add a little sugar, maybe yeast, a drop of salt and pour it into glasses.
You need to take a net! Without a net, you can miss a lot or not catch anything at all, at least from what will fly!
