Microexplosion?

22.04.2011 20:04, Evgenich

please tell me, and what is the best way (to dig) to use for installing cups on pebbles, stone scree and other mountains?

The most convenient way is with an ice pick. Proven in practice many times!

Useful question. I hope that soon I will have to set traps in the Vietnamese red flowers - I go to the farm. I go shopping and look for some chisel or chisel. The titanium blade in such a ground can not stand for a long time, it bends.

I can rent my own ice pick. This year I go to the mountains without him, so it turns out... smile.gif
It can be used to clear the ground of leaves, turn over rocks, logs, and set traps (very quickly done!). Again, it can be used as a weapon.
One drawback - my ice axe weighs 1.2 kg.

22.04.2011 21:21, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

Thanks! But I have to take him on a plane, and carry him to the plane on my own. And what is it like? M. B. Can I buy it?

22.04.2011 22:28, Evgenich

Duc, and I take him on a plane...no problem. My backpack weighs about 30 kg (along with an ice pick). I don't recommend buying it right away, but try it out and then decide whether you need it or not. Their prices have gone up. A good, light ice axe (with a good bayonet), suitable for setting traps, now costs at least 2100 rubles.
I have an ice pick like in the photo:
http://budetinteresno.narod.ru/book/ledorub.htm
Only the bayonet was replaced with a metal, more durable one. The regular one broke down from loads (I turned very large stones over). Now it's not killable!
We live in the same city, I can send it without any problems. If you think about it, please let me know in advance, because I have it now outside the city, but within quick reach.

Hello! How many of you caught barbels on baits and traps? I personally-no confused.gifTell me the design of baits and traps for barbels. I will be very grateful))

04.05.2011 5:37, Dmitry Vlasov

Ilya, as far as I know, there are no special traps for barbels. They are caught on flowers, on piles of logs, and sometimes fall into various traps - window traps, crown traps with bait, etc. See the "branch" - "Traps - techniques and publications"here. You will learn a lot of information there, and it may come in handy.

04.05.2011 8:25, RippeR

crown and window traps, there are a number of types.

What are the pitfalls? Shake it! (One of the most effective ways) You can put it in an inverted umbrella, which is also useful in other cases...

I can recommend soil traps near trees and stumps, preferably freshly cut.

07.05.2011 12:19, Сергей Матвеев

aha, in the soil (with beer) came across tanners ... probably by accident-the traps were located next to the oak tree they inhabited

07.05.2011 12:25, Сергей Матвеев

yes, I forgot: on beer (no longer on the ground, but on the trunk of a tree) and on drunken oaks, musky ones fly, and as a selection all krupnenkie

Maybe not in the subject, but about traps.
There is such a task - to hang a series of traps at the same height (up to 15 m) at an equal distance from each other. In natural biotopes, this is almost impossible to do. But there is one bad idea - to use power transmission poles, since there are enough of them everywhere now. Tell me, good people, is it really dangerous to climb the poles of power lines?! How illegal is this? (what happens if they get caught? - I don't cut the wires). How often do electrical insulators "leak"? Will boots and rubber gloves help?! The method of setting a trap by casting a cord with a weight will also not work: the cord will get wet during the exposure, and then it will work by grounding.
These are such naive questions. I think to bury the idea or assign it to the student smile.gif

And about barbels, wine traps, oddly enough, are not often visited, but there are quite rare (in the Middle Urals) species (Obrium, stenocorus, oximirus). The bulk of the species can be taken from flowering umbelliferous trees and from the piles of forest construction.

A student should probably not be instructed to climb high-voltage cables, otherwise there will be a trap for corpse-eaters, anything can happen. The tension there is serious.

11.06.2011 22:53, Aleksandr Ermakov

I was joking about a student. And electricity is no joke, that's for sure.
Again, maybe not in the subject, but does anyone have "field" experience powering a light trap from a low-voltage power line? This is due to the fact that it is not always possible to deliver a generator to the right place, and a civilization in the form of power lines is nearby. Process outlets are very rare.

Equal deletion is not required. You can also interpolate non-equal distance on a uniform grid. Better bury the idea than sacrifice the student. And the ultrasonic height can be measured with a laser rangefinder with an accuracy of up to a millimeter.

On a completely different topic. But for collectors of coprobionts a good illustrated guide: http://ziza.qip.ru/2011/06/23/nu_prosto_ne...jj_20_foto.html

And what if as a trap to use a bath of "Doshirak", which is filled with sweet baits?

02.01.2012 1:47, Aleksandr Ermakov

Flies, eardrums, a few beetles. In general, it depends on what to pour. The main thing here is not the taste, but the smell.

About the smell is clear. Sweet baits is a figurative name. It means that baits with the use of sugar.

02.01.2012 12:22, Black Coleopter

In general, it depends on what to pour.

According to the classics:Ingredients: 1 l. beer, honey, 1 l. water, yeast (it is most convenient to use instant dry yeast in sachets) 2-3 pack.
The beer is filled with 1 pack. yeast, put in a warm place. When the beer turns sour, and this will be clearly noticeable by the characteristic turbidity, they begin to prepare the second part of the bait. To do this, honey is dissolved in warm water, if desired, you can additionally add jam, sugar, etc. Then yeast is added to the resulting mixture, combined with sour beer and again put in a warm place. After 7-10 days, the bait will be ready.
Economy option: sugar syrup + yeast.

Dear colleagues!
I found information about a convenient tool for digging holes for soil traps (http://opiratax.ru/articles.php?lng=ru&pg=1205), this may be useful for us.

Interesting and where can I buy it?

This cylindrical digger is a great piece for installing soil cup traps. I've seen similar ones in large supermarkets, such as OBI (gardening department), several models, even made of plastic. But industrial diggers are designed for soft, loose soil of the household plot and do not live long in expedition conditions

08.01.2012 18:53, captolabrus

And someone in the photo has already lit up with a hand drill, is it Dima Fominykh,? For the most severe conditions of the wild nature, you need something "oak". The rotifer is iron, and the most simple design, because we do not plant flowers in a flower bed.

08.01.2012 19:03, Dorcadion

Yes, I used this thing - an extremely convenient thing, the speed of setting traps increases significantly. But it is convenient to use if you go by car, a heavy infection, this season I will try to take it on hiking routes(but 5-7 kg is very noticeable).
And about how to do it, contact Sergey Pavlyuchuk( sergey nyu), these are his devices...

I wonder, first of all, what kind of burial sites. Construction, etc. If it was discussed, place a link.If you are interested , I will ask the manufacturer's email address.

09.01.2012 17:19, Konung

I don't use them, because I don't deal with beetles. all questions to the manufacturer.

I also ask what kind of "titanium light diggers" they are, if you write about them, it means that you have seen, know what they look like, and have other information that deserves attention, which may affect the acceptance /non-acceptance of the decision about their (" titanium light diggers) acquisition.
Sincerely.

cool "device", I have seen such a Tsurikov, only "with a foot drive". I understand this as a glass of 0.2-and this is not enough. for average Russia, of course, it is enough, but there is nothing to do with the stones/roots in the Caucasus. of course you need to start from where and whom to catch

In OBI. It costs 500 rubles. Push, burish, unclench, pull out the earth and that's it.

IMHO - only suitable for loose soil

I use them for setting soil traps. And very satisfied. But they are ABSOLUTELY unsuitable for light soils.
