Question about equipment from France

Community and ForumEntomological collectionsQuestion about equipment from France

Sugercete, 13.03.2010 12:42

A close relative of mine is going to Paris.

Is there anything useful entomological equipment in Paris that would be worth buying because of the favorable price, for example, or better quality?
Pins, straighteners, dies, and so on.

If so, please tell me the address of such a store in Paris.

Due to the fact that this topic will not be relevant for me for a long time, this IMHO branch can be deleted, at the discretion of a respected moderator.

Thank You

There is a lot of this stuff in Paris, as well as in all of France. I had a list of addresses, and if I found them,I'd let you know. I don't want to throw it away.

In the very center, on Rue du Bac, 46, there is a Deyrol shop (http://www.deyrolle.com/). They sell entomological equipment, books, and straightened insects. Everything, except for some books, is unnecessarily expensive (see photo).

I visited the local enotomomagazine "Nature et passion"this summer. The selection of insects is quite good, the catalog can be viewed here http://www.nature-et-passion.com/.
Address: 2 rue Dupont de l'Eure (metro Gambetta). From the equipment they sell Czech sphinx, I bought it because the spoon was expensive for lunch, but in general it's a little expensive, although it's cheaper than deirol:
pins (varnish) 3 eurorublya, minutsii 12, planchettes paper 1.5 of what I remember.
