user posted imageCantharidae is a family of beetles with soft integuments, including soft elytra. The size is usually up to 15 mm. Carnivores; prey lies in wait on flowers. Larvae are covered with soft hairs; predatory; extra-intestinal digestion-grabbing prey with sharp jaws, the larva lets in enzymes that dilute the tissues, and then sucks up liquid food.
