Thanks! I have an undefined very similar instantiation. It is suitable for distribution and size. Most likely, there is an intracatus!

"Distribution according to Kryzhanovsky (Kryzhanovsky et al., 1995) - Ukrainian Carpathians, Transcarpathia. the central and southern part of the Russian Plain. " ???

Presumably, it is not found east of Western Ukraine and Western Belarus. Body size up to 38 mm. Usually, up to 35 mm.

rpanin - of course, I could have translated it incorrectly, but it is written, if you decipher the notation (I quote): "A-CD ..."
and then "A - Ukrainian Carpathians and Transcarpathia (...) С - Middle stretch of Russian Plain; D - Southern Russian Plain"

In the Moldovan Codras (not far from Kishenev) there is definitely one, I saw it with my own eyes. True, it was a long time ago. It is most often found under the bark of dead trees - this is how it was caught.

I also thought that the view does not go east of the Carpathians. In the list of ground beetles from the Zinovsky site, it seems, it does not appear for Russia...

A strange indication for this species in Kryzhanovsky confused.gif
The species is really purely European (as is the subgenus). And even in the western part of the territory of Russia can not live in any way. Most likely a typo. rolleyes.gif

If anyone is interested, I have the easternmost specimens of Carabus (Chaetocarabus) intracatus from the Cherkasy region (Kaniv Nature Reserve), although they were caught back in the 90s. And this year I found them in soil traps in Bulgaria, though not too thickly - only 5 copies in two weeks.
