Photo from Kaimanovka

Pavel Morozov, 15.08.2007 21:58

This time I post photos of an amateur entomologist from the Tula region, my long-time and very good friend and teacher. Photos from the vicinity of Kaimanovka (Primorsky Krai, near the Ussuri Nature Reserve), taken in July 2000 on a film camera. The photos are scanned and the resolution is low, which, however, does not prevent them from transmitting the atmosphere of the Ussuri region. In the photo-Amureana schrenckii on telegraph poles, clusters of butterflies on a wet road, Sephisa princeps, male.

unfortunately, in Andreevka, where my wife and I visited, there was no such abundance, but there were those species that are not found in the rest of Primorye.
In short, cool there, anywhere!

It's funny! I clarified it from my diary: in 2000, on June 18-21 and July 14-21, I myself wandered along the path with these very pillars from Kaimanovka to the reserve!.. I don't remember meeting anyone else with a net...

I'll add more. All the same schrenck's rainbow (Amureana schrenckii). above is a male, below is a female.

Well, this photo is for conservationists and all living things. Since we have to deal with statements that entomologists destroy innocent butterflies, beetles, bees and other boogers, I will post this specifically. On the roads of Primorye and the Amur region in a year under the wheels of cars die much more tailed maak (Papilio (Achillides) maackii), than in 20 years at the hands of entomologists. And in addition to them on the roads there are also ribbon beetles, pestles, and rainbows, including shrenka, millions of pigeons and other butterflies. I'm not even talking about other insects.

Morozzz, and what butterflies known from Andreevka are unknown in the rest of Primorye? I asked the lepidopterologists from BPI - they don't know ...

21.08.2007 14:43, Pavel Morozov

You Juglans are a bit bilious, aren't you?

What butterflies?
Where, besides Khasansky district, can you catch Klanis? Eh?
If you share, I will be glad.

Too bad they don't know.
I didn't specifically mean Andreevka, but Khasansky district.
If you still need to enlighten, then please - Protantigius superans, Lethe diana.

Don't provoke Flame, please.

What does bile have to do with it?! (...) Everything is clear with the Khasansky district, but I was just thinking that some butterflies (scoops)are known only from isolated finds from the ROC. Andreyevka. Khasansky district is VERY long - there are plants known only from 1-2 localities. In the area of Golubinny utyosa, there are probably insect species that are absent in other places of the Khasansky district.

Op-pa. Cool stuff. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about her, but I will say that she masterfully imitates Aporia hippia (or vice versa).

What the fuck? Are any of them poisonous?
