Next, I will introduce you to three interesting crested birds from South and Southeast Asia.

Thank you for the material provided by A. Schintlmeister and V. Gurko.

Rodneya Kiriakoff, 1967 (Dicranurinae) is a genus of very peculiar and rather beautiful crested whales, including three species. Wingspan-5-6 cm

Here, the first one is Rodneya caudata Kiriakoff, 1967
Sumatra.
It is distributed quite widely - in Indochina from Myanmar to Vietnam, where it is rare. It is more common in the Sunda Islands, especially Sumatra.

Consider the butterflies of the genus Gluphisia Bouisduval, 1828
Holarctic genus. There are 2 species found in Eurasia.

Gluphisia crenata (Esper, 1785)
The species is distributed almost all over the Palearctic from Britain to Japan.
Pretty common. It flies in 2 and sometimes 3 generations. Caterpillar on aspen and poplar trees.
The photo shows copies from the Moscow region. Primorye and Sakhalin. For the Sakhalin ones, many thanks to Ripper!

a small addition:
Hexafrenum niveicollare may be collaris. This genus is now united with Allodonta. The genus is very muddy and complex.

It is strange that Syntypistis pallidifascia is "tired". Numerous species.

Thank you so much for the tufts! Will there be more? cool.gif

Hello, Pavel! Thank you for your comment. Syntypistis pallidifascia for some reason flew only one hit. Khokhlatok still put up just a few days ago, including bambuchnitsa there is some kind of lying smile.gifaround from the last trip. This time there were none. Most of the material is in progress. If you're interested, I can put out all the notodontids I caught in Nepal in two trips. There are not many of them, but there is something, especially since half of them are not defined by me.
