Confused by the amount, it seems to be rare, but it turned out to be quite common... Lucky me. smile.gif

How much did you collect, but only one?

In general, it is strange that the species is rarely found, because the forage plant lespedetsa is very common there.

Since I didn't put much emphasis on tufts, and I don't really understand them, plus they flew almost at the very end of the trip, I took only two. It's just that there was no room left for the materialfrown.gif, and at least a dozen arrived in three nights. .. who would know frown.gif

Super!
There was, but the Caucasian subspecies pontica.
A nominee, and even from Belarus, has not yet been received. Very interesting point!

Then there are three species of Peridea in the Western Palearctic and adjacent regions.

The most famous is Peridea anceps (Goeze, 1781)
males - left-Moscow, Troitsk, leg. N. Ivshyn, right-Hungary, leg. barko
samka - Moscow region. Odintsovo district, leg. Morozzz
is distributed almost everywhere in Europe with the exception of the northernmost regions, Ireland and Portugal. It is found in Transcaucasia, Asia Minor, and North Africa.
In southeastern Europe and Asia Minor, it flies together with the very similar P. korbi (see below). In Transcaucasia (Talysh) it occurs together with P. murina
P. anceps and P. korbi can be clearly distinguished by the structure of the antennae of males. P. anceps also have less pronounced light bandages on the forewing

Peridea hoenei Kiriakoff, 1963

Cerura and Furcula genera are rather turbid. And if the picture is even more or less clear in the furcula, then in the cerura - ogogo.

Here, for example, is a butterfly whose status caused a lot of questions earlier.

Furcula interrupta (Christoph, 1867)
Iran.
The species was described by Christof from the Lower Volga near Sarepta. Until now, there is no reliable data on the occurrence of the species in the Volga region. Later it was discovered much further south - Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Iraq and Iran. In Iran, it is known from the territories bordering Armenia and Azerbaijan.
It is very likely that the interrupta is located on the Lower Volga, Lower Don, and Transcaucasia.
Among others, the furcula is distinguished by its large size and a thin, often interrupted basal band of the forewing.

Thank you very much!
The upper one is F. bifida with a well-defined gray coating
, the lower one is still F. furcula.

In general, always collect Furcula tufts. In addition to our most common bicuspis, bifida and furcula in Tatarstan, you can also catch aeruginosa and the "semi-mythical" interrupta (it is just literally above your pictures).
Nice seats you have there! wink.gif
