Although I can put up an albino gamut myself.. I don't think Okoyem will be offended for being ahead of schedule smile.gif

He won't be offended. The picture is yours ; -)
Finally got around to it... I also post my "version". There will be time to take a picture and straighten up.

- And I once caught a "hermaphrodite" of a buckthorn pigeon at the KMV!!! So one of her wings was the color of a female's wing, and the other of a male's! (I gave the copy to a friend, but he hung up, and I can't take it back yet...) frown.gif

Is this a gynandromorph or some other natural phenomenon?

It is quite possible that gynadromorph. Very interesting copy!

20.08.2008 11:48, Bukashechnik

Very interesting! I myself, however, did not have to catch butterflies of this type (aberrants, gynandromorphs, etc.), but I had to deal with straight-winged ones. Caught a specimen of the wingless, or walking filly Podisma pedestris, with fully developed wings.

One of the previous posts mentioned a rare form of Cosmia trapezina (with a dark stripe), which I also caught this year. Number of such copies. from the Moscow region increases...

30.08.2008 7:06, Ilia Ustiantcev

Rare-this is with a black triangle in the middle of the wing.

30.08.2008 9:06, AntSkr

That's what I'm talking about, although it's hard to call it a triangle...

Here is a story related to this instance (okoem tactfully kept silent about it, but why, we need to amuse the audience...wink.gif). This year I decided to collect some idas/agryrognomon males for cooking and shared the collection with okoyom. And when straightening, such a miracle was revealed. And I didn'T NOTICE it when I was putting it together! Don't ask me how. It seemed that the male. lol.gif

There are wonderful articles about gynandromorphs in the families of cocoonworms and eupterotids by Vadim Zolotukhin with genitals shown, an explanation of this phenomenon, and very good photos. They were published in the Tinea magazine last year.
A lot of very interesting things, especially gynandromorphs. Thank you to all participants. Does anyone have a Cossidae gynandromorph? The phenomenon is not described in this family. You can make a great article.

I don't understand what happened to Corydon..

Corydon appears to have mosaic gynandromorphism.True, in a light form(on the upper right - blue "ray" and on the lower left-very inconspicuous areas)I wonder if there are Corydon females with abundant blue dusting in nature. If there is someone - put up photos. It would be interesting to see.
