Here is a bilateral gynandromorph of the Hamartia butterfly from the small African family Chrysopolomidae. Some consider them their own family, others a subfamily within limacodidae, but in any case, this is the first gynandromorph, as it seems, in general among limacoid butterflies.

stupid question from me to a stupid question from you:
WHY CAN'T YOU CORRECTLY WRITE THE WORD G AND NANDROMORPH IF IT APPEARS IN THE TOPIC TITLE?????

Ex pupa. ...Just for the sake of sports intersa collected caterpillars, 100 pieces of "wren".Absolutely everything is gone. But I saw these beautiful creatures off from the balcony, and I left only one of them. And no experiments with t.

And with what, then?

17.11.2011 0:40, Paulo

The whole crowd of bobochek came out of the pupae within 1-3 days, at room temperature and without "wintering" in the refrigerator(at the height of summer, I considered it superfluous). And how this turned out is still a mystery.

This is Temnostoma meridionale (Diptera, Syrphidae) from Ukraine. Thank you to Gennady Romanov for the photo! Both I and the author of the image will be grateful for classifying this instance in terms of correct terminology (gynandomorph? just plain ugly?) In this species, the color of the breast and abdomen in females is the same as in males. In the photo - a male.

Hello everybody! I decided to add to the number of aberrants, although I personally don't like them and don't collect them on purpose.
In fact, the reduced wings of butterflies are not so big and rare.
aglaja is caught in the Leningrad region, literally at home.
amanda - from Pskov
Hyponephele and machaon - from Leningrad. Moreover, hyponephele are both caught literally in one net.
In the swallowtail, the yellow spot on the front right wing is not erased, but it simply does not exist.
I am interested in the pale male versicolora, he is absolutely "zero", flew to the light in the Leningrad region.

A wonderful gynandromorph ! I'm sorry, I was a bit of a mess.

Hello everybody!

We continue:

Aglia tau-a strange butterfly, flew to the light in the Leningrad region (usually they do not fly to the light here, this is not Primorye!)

Phoebis sennae - two photos, because the butterfly is one, and its sides are different.
In the bottom row there are two males, top and bottom. Top right - female. But at the top left, a butterfly with the upper side of the wings from the male, and the lower side from the female. I've never seen anything like this before !

Similar with Anteos maerula. At the top is an ordinary male, at the bottom is an ordinary female, and in the center, after all, is the shape of a female. The most interesting thing is that I caught it very first and then searched for the same one for a long time.
