I found an unusual specimen of Aricia anteros (July 2007) on the mattresses, probably a melanist. The second photo shows an ordinary male.

shashechniki abberanta.
Question about the w-album tail. What's it? The white sash is very large. It's a pity the second wing is in turmoil.
And for Phoebus, isn't the symmetry of wing spots the norm?

1. Melanist Melithaea cinxia, female (Crimea, north-east of Sevastopol, Frontovoe village);
2. Lycaena dispar rutilus, male. Yuri Pavlovich Nekrutenko (special thanks to him!) identified the specimen as forma " striata "(Crimea, Krasnogvardeysky district, Chapaevo village).

Why, in fact, torments? smile.gif

25.10.2009 22:44, RippeR

it seems to be tormenting me smile.gif
although the second one may be some kind of pilaon.. the wing shape is strange.

25.10.2009 22:45, palvasru4ko

Are there any other options?
It's just that I've been fishing in that area for many years (from 1995 to 2004 annually, then occasionally). Only thersites, icarus, belargus, argiolus and argiades are among the blue pigeons. So only icarus can be confused, but I believe it's not icarus.

25.10.2009 23:06, Kharkovbut

So only with ikarus can be confused, but I believe that this is not ikarus.
Like the 1st-ikarus, it has a basal point on the upper wing. smile.gif

You can still cook them. smile.gif Are your genitals aberrant??? wink.gif

The first, as far as you can see, is really Icarus. But in general, it is quite simple to distinguish between these two species - Thersite, unlike Icarus, has a blue color with a noticeable purple tint. Put the usual Icarus and Thersite next to them and compare the shades. In addition, you can try to compare the degree of development of the androconial field in the basal zone of the forewing.
The only thing I'm not sure about is whether the tint changes with time.

Probably not a sensation, but I saw it for the first time, despite the fact that the Pathos itself is a mass form.

If "shabby" - lesssmile.gif, But this is all for merchants. A true collector, connoisseur and aesthete will sell such a curiosity to anyone! And that's right! What will he show his friends later? 85 euros? But such a copy, and supported by a good story about the capture of it, is worth much more...
