The genus Cyrebia Guenée, 1852, is represented by two rather cool species found in the subalpine and Alpine regions. In Russia, both species are widely distributed in the Caucasus. They are also known from Iran, Turkey and Armenia.

Cyrebia anachoreta (Herrich-Schäffer, 1851), male
Teberd, h=2800-3000m, July 2011
Flying during the day on rocky scree near the snow border, often sitting on flowers, not attracted to light.

Cyrebia luperinoides Guenée, 1852
Teberda, h=2800-3000m, July 2011
are quite common compared to the previous species, they fly during the day and are well attracted to light. They are found in the same biotopes.

I put out two Chersotis and decided to check my definition-in my opinion, alpestris-I was wrong. According to L. Lehman, there are very similar doppelgangers flying in Kyrgyzstan - transiens and stridula. Tell me, who knows, I'll fix it ( there is a revision of this group, but I'm not familiar). I'm leaning more towards stridula.

I do not want to seem annoying and flood, but why do you stick butterflies on such pins? Entomological - buy now is not a problem. Then will you re-arrange everything?

I do not want to seem annoying and flood, but why do you stick butterflies on such pins? Entomological - buy now is not a problem. Then will you re-arrange everything?

In Moscow, buying entomological pins may not be a problem, but in Ivanovo they can be obtained with great interruptions. Only in the last season (2011) did I manage to get them almost uninterrupted. In the past years (2007-2010), due to various circumstances, there were periods when I ran out of pins, and I could not buy them again. Thus, all the fees of 2011 I have only on entomological pins, but in 2007-2010, alas, I do not have all the fees on good pins. Most (60 percent) of all fees collected during this period (2007-2010) also come from entomological pins, but alas, there are also fees that I was forced to put on tailor's pins during certain periods of absence of entomological pins.

Next, you asked me if I would rearrange the material put on the tailor's pins.My answer: yes, I will. Moreover, I'm already doing it.This is not an easy task, but it is necessary. What else can I do? Do not throw away the same material. You can not throw away the material-this is one of the main commandments of an entomologist, which I strictly follow. Therefore, what can be rearranged, I will eventually rearrange.

I hope I have fully answered your question.

With the release of NE13, our difficulties seem to be in the past for a long time. The book will have a list of scoops compiled taking into account all the accumulated knowledge and existing opinions. To do this, experts from all modern areas have come together.

I think that this system will be the main one for the next 10 or 15 years.

Unfortunately, I do not know either of them, but if you compare mine with your images, I would say that it looks more like birivia, the second one seems to me more dense and broad-winged, and the drawing also looks more like birivia( the same lepiforum and Savchuk and nostids.de)
In Kyrgyzstan, there is an ita and another, although Lekhman has not marked either one or the other for the Alai.

I cooked a male from the same series collected by Rutyan in Kyrgyzstan. Today I consulted with my fellow members of the party. They say-Euxoa plumbina. At this stage, I think this is enough. You can continue in the future if there is material for comparison. If someone has Euxoa plumbina and birivia and wants to find out, please send them to me for dissection. It would be nice to get the Crimean ones for testing, especially the females.

I couldn't resist. I put a male E. plumbina from Tajikistan to cook for comparison with the Kyrgyz one. I am tormented by vague doubts.

Me too, but no arguments. In terms of habitus, mine seems to be one to one with your Dagestani one , and that second one is clearly different ( but it's hard to say here, firstly a male, and secondly-still a photo). If there are any changes,I will correct them again.

The Dagestani female is already cooked and the initial definition has been confirmed-it is Euxoa birivia.
