A representative of a large genus, many species of which are endemic to one mountain range or even part of it. Identification of females in most species is impossible if there are no males in the material.
Conophyma semenovi semenovi Zub.
Habitat: Trans-Ili Alatau. It appears on "counters" from a height of 1000 m, and is most numerous in the spruce belt (1800-3000 m), where it is kept on mixed mountain meadows. The picture was taken on July 10 at an altitude of 2600 m.

And this is another close species-Nanum Mitsch Coporhuma. (konofima malaya). It lives at an altitude of 1100-3300 m. Herbivorous hortobiont. The photo was taken at an altitude of 3300 m at the top of Mount Kumbel in South Kazakhstan.

Konofima Almashi. The subspecies rugosum inhabits the eastern part of the Trans-Ili Alatau, the Ketmen, Sary-Jas, Kyungei Ala-Too, and Terskey Ala-Too ranges. The photo was taken on July 21 in the upper reaches of the Bolshaya Almatinka River, at an altitude of 2900 m.
