The wasp deals with a Noctuid moth

-I saw it already when the butterfly was lying on the ground badly bruised and vibrating its wings, and the wasp was trying to bite off its wings. It is interesting that when I passed by, or brought the "soap box" close , the wasp flew away, but then returned back.

It's funny, in the photo it feels like both the butterfly and the wasp are dead smile.gifin the dust. A sort of "mud fight". The owl is attacked by the common wasp Vespula vulgaris (Linnaeus).

I observed a similar picture, only the wasp dealt brutally with a dead horsefly on the windowsill. And once, being in the field, I see a mouse dead, and somehow it moves strangely, I raised it, and there are 3 German ones cutting it up.

- Apparently, - she caught a horsefly alive herself; - and here, in the case of the mouse, the wasps coveted fresh carrion.
