The cost, shelf life, storage conditions, and average pheromone consumption can not be announced? And will these pheromones be used in Central Asia?

Posted an extended ad in the topic about insect baits: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...60#entry1500660

As for the effect of pheromones in Central Asia, I think yes, there will be an effect. Although no special pheromones have been synthesized for Central Asian species.

We advised you to put photos from Sakhalin city Kholmsk in your section.
Cut currant twigs were placed at home and the currant glassy plant Synanthedon tipuliformis (Clerck, 1759) was born. Thinking that I identified it correctly. Blue and Dubatol for Sakhalin is not marked. Although the DV determinants say that the distribution is almost worldwide.

Please tell me if such damage to black currant twigs indicates the presence of glass jars in them? Surprisingly, some small branches seem to be broken off from the main skeletal branch of the bush. At first, I sinned against the wind and the weight of the snow. But then, on closer inspection, I found that many of these branches have empty centers, and the main branch, from which a small branch is broken off, has a black center. This blackness does not reach the base of all branches. In a lecture on raising glassworms, Oleg Grigoryevich mentions the broken ends of birch twigs, in which the larvae of glassworms are located. But here it is just the opposite: the larvae go down. I may be drawing the wrong conclusions. And what does the currant glasshouse imago eat? Raspberry and cherry blossoms are mentioned in non-specialized literature.

Please help me with the glass case. Caught in the Moscow region to the north of the station 192 km. in a dried-to-hell biotope next to the railway, but a damp depression with a couple of aspens and birches is located next to the ditch. With respect to Synanthedon flaviventris, two tufts of yellow hairs in the anterior part of the "brush" are confusing, tipuliformis also has an almost undistinguished yellow color on the forewing. Synansphecia triannuliformis is not suitable because of the yellow stripe at the very end of the abdomen. Perhaps a broken Chamaesphecia, like empiformis? Euphorbia is available nearby, but it is not enough. The body length together with the brush is 8 mm., the wingspan is 15-16 mm.

In my opinion, Synanthedon spuleri or Synanthedon tipuliformis. In appearance, they are almost indistinguishable.

Big poplar glass plant (Sesia apiformis) 01.07.2016. Mordovia, mixed forest. There wasn't exactly a poplar tree, but there was plenty of aspen. Interestingly, in 2013, about 200 meters from the place of capture, I found a small poplar glass plant (Paranthrene tabaniformis).

Is there a chance in the new season at the same time to get to the exit of glass houses? Or should I do it sooner? =)
For a point, please. The region is huge)))

Yes, the region is very huge, considering that it is limited to my interests - the entire Eastern Hemisphere!

I think you should have this species flying since the end of May. The caterpillars live in the roots of milkweed. It is very easy to find it - in the spring, milkweed with a caterpillar will be almost dry.
